As of October 2, 2026, Penny Blood still had no publisher, according to Noisy Pixel. Studio Wildrose says it is moving ahead with REVIOLENCE, a prequel novel set in the Penny Blood universe. The novel’s progress does not mean the RPG has secured funding, a publisher, or a release date.
Does Penny Blood have a publisher?
No publisher had been announced for the Penny Blood game in the latest status report located, published by Noisy Pixel on October 2, 2026. Creator Matsuzo Machida shared the update after fans and backers asked about the crowdfunding campaign and the project. He said the team had not found a publisher and described the game industry as difficult. This is a dated status snapshot, not evidence that talks have ended or that Penny Blood is cancelled. In a March 18, 2026 anniversary update, Studio Wildrose said it remained in contact with several companies and was having concrete discussions. Machida attributed the challenge to the high cost of RPG development and publishers’ scrutiny of a project’s scope, schedule, and profitability. He also said publishers tend to favor properties with existing sales records. Those are Machida’s explanation of the studio’s position and his view of the market, not independently verified industry statistics. Studio Wildrose’s March 18 update
