Pebble Round 2 is now in production: Core Devices says the first 200 complete watches have arrived at its warehouse. But the company’s September 30, 2026 schedule is a projection, not a delivery guarantee. It expected to begin shipping the next batch at October’s end and finish preorder shipments by December, while warning that further delays remain possible. The official product page showed December shipping for new orders when checked on October 7, 2026.
When will Pebble Round 2 ship?
Core Devices’ September 30 update says it received the first 200 completed watches at its warehouse and began asking customers to confirm their orders. The company projected that production of the next 1,000 watches would start after China’s October 1–7 holiday, with that batch shipping at October’s end. It expected production on remaining orders to start in early November, with those shipments beginning in late November. The company’s overall forecast was to complete preorder shipments by the end of December 2026.
Those dates are the manufacturer’s estimates, and Core Devices explicitly cautioned that the schedule could slip again. The official store listed December shipping for new orders as of October 7, 2026; check the live order page for current timing. Delivery can also depend on destination, and taxes, duties, tariffs, or handling charges may apply.

The stated bottleneck is the stainless-steel case, not the display or software. Core Devices says the case requires CNC milling, polishing, and PVD coating, and that supplier sample rounds repeatedly had cosmetic defects. In some rounds, the company reported that only 15% of cases passed its incoming quality checks. That figure applies to particular sample rounds described by the manufacturer; it is not an independently verified production yield or a general defect rate.

According to Core Devices, the display, battery, buttons, straps, testing, certifications, and software were ready while it waited for cases that met its quality requirements. The first warehouse delivery shows that completed production units exist, but the remaining schedule still depends on production proceeding as planned.

How long does the battery last?
Battery life is a manufacturer estimate, not an independent test result. Core Devices says average life with the PebbleOS version described in its September update is eight days. Its store lists an estimate of 10–14 days, which the company says may be achievable by disabling the touchscreen, choosing a watchface that refreshes less often, and turning off shake-to-backlight.

How durable is it, and what straps fit?
Core Devices says the coated steel case and glass front can still scratch, crack, or break. Its practical water guidance allows ordinary exposure such as rain, handwashing, or a brief dunk, but advises against hot water and prolonged submersion. The store’s “30m” water-resistance entry is labeled a target, so it should not be treated as a firm swimming or diving rating.
The watch comes with a silicone strap and magnetic charger. Depending on configuration, it uses 14 mm or 20 mm quick-release straps; Core Devices says standard straps of the matching width fit. Check which width applies to the watch configuration before ordering a replacement. Optional Pebble leather straps are also available through the company’s order and accessory flow.

Is Pebble Round 2 a good fit?
Round 2 is aimed at someone who wants a slim, round watch, an e-paper display, physical buttons, PebbleOS, and the prospect of multi-day battery life. Its step and sleep tracking are basic compared with watches built around dedicated sports metrics: there is no heart-rate sensor, and the manufacturer does not position it as a full fitness or GPS watch. Core Devices suggests buyers who need full fitness and GPS tracking consider a sports watch such as a Garmin.

It is also a different proposition from a feature-rich smartwatch: the product prioritizes its thin case and e-paper interface rather than offering the broader health and platform features associated with devices such as an Apple Watch. Core Devices’ official product information lists Pebble Time 2 separately, with heart-rate monitoring and a different case and display, so buyers comparing the two should check each model’s current specifications rather than assume they are interchangeable.
