PCWorld Shop lists Microsoft Visio Professional 2024 for $49.97 and describes the license as lifetime access. The deal has terms worth checking before you buy: the seller says the code is tied to one device, must be redeemed within seven days, and cannot be returned after redemption. Microsoft confirms that Visio Professional 2024 is a one-time-purchase desktop app for one PC, but that does not verify this particular third-party code or establish that its licensing terms match Microsoft’s.
What the $49.97 offer includes
PCWorld Shop lists “Microsoft Visio Professional 2024: Lifetime License for Windows” at $49.97. The page shows $579.99 as the suggested price and advertises a 91% discount. Those are seller-listed figures, not a verified universal price or evidence that the code carries the same rights and support as a direct Microsoft purchase. Check the live listing and checkout terms before paying. PCWorld Shop offer page
The seller page also displays 38 reviews and a 4.9/5 average. Those figures are the seller page’s review count and rating, not an independent assessment of the code’s legitimacy, licensing, or performance. PCWorld Shop offer page

“Lifetime” is PCWorld Shop’s description of access for this offer. Microsoft describes Visio Professional 2024 as an on-premises diagramming and data-visualization solution licensed for one PC and sold as a one-time purchase. That describes Microsoft’s product edition; it does not independently authenticate the seller’s code or define how long that particular code will remain valid. Does the license bind to my device or Microsoft account?
PCWorld Shop says this code is connected to the buyer’s actual device, not their Microsoft account; it also describes the code as one-use and activation as limited to one device at a time. PCWorld Shop offer page
Microsoft’s support guidance for the normal one-time-purchase route says the product key is associated with a Microsoft account and explains how to install the desktop app. It separately addresses third-party product keys as a troubleshooting case. That guidance is useful setup context, but it does not establish the provenance or exact activation rights of the PCWorld Shop code. The seller’s device-linked description and Microsoft’s usual account-associated process should therefore be treated as distinct claims, not reconciled by assumption. Microsoft Support: install Visio

How long do I have to redeem the code?
The seller says the code must be redeemed within seven days of purchase. Because this is a short deadline, do not buy until you are ready to redeem and have confirmed your PC and country are eligible. The offer page does not independently establish eligibility in every country. PCWorld Shop offer page
Can I return it after activation?
PCWorld Shop says an unredeemed license may be returned for store credit within seven days, while all sales are final once the code is redeemed. Review the seller’s current terms at checkout; do not assume a redeemed code can be refunded. PCWorld Shop offer page

How does the price compare with buying from Microsoft?
| Option | Price and purchase type | What the source establishes |
|---|---|---|
| PCWorld Shop offer | $49.97; seller-listed offer, accessed 2026 | Seller describes lifetime access and the device-linked, one-use terms. The listing shows $579.99 as a suggested price and a 91% discount. PCWorld Shop offer page |
| Microsoft US listing | $579.99; one-time purchase, accessed 2026 | Microsoft lists Visio Professional 2024 as a one-time purchase for one PC. This is not proof that the third-party offer is equivalent in license, support, region, or activation rights. Microsoft US comparison page |
The price gap is striking, but it is not enough to call the third-party offer a like-for-like saving: the code’s provenance and equivalence have not been established. Buy only if you are comfortable relying on the seller’s terms rather than assuming Microsoft has verified this offer.
Will it work alongside my existing Office or Microsoft 365 installation?
The offer page lists Windows 10, Windows 11, and Windows Server 2019, plus a 1.6 GHz or faster two-core processor, 4 GB RAM (2 GB for 32-bit), 4 GB available storage, a 1280 × 768 display, DirectX 10 graphics, internet access, and a Microsoft account. Those are the seller’s stated requirements; confirm compatibility with Microsoft’s current requirements and installation guidance before purchasing. The available information does not establish compatibility with every existing Office or Microsoft 365 configuration, so check Microsoft’s support guidance for your setup rather than assuming coexistence.
