For Indian businesses taking card payments from customers abroad, Cashfree, Razorpay and PayU are three providers to compare first. Their India-facing product pages describe international-card acceptance, but features, published prices and settlement details differ—and account approval is not guaranteed. Treat advertised terms as a starting point: confirm eligibility, fees, currency conversion and settlement for your own business before choosing.
Which payment gateways should Indian businesses compare?
These options address the export-side flow: an India-based business collecting payment from customers overseas. They are not comparisons of services for an overseas merchant accepting payments from Indian buyers.
| Provider | International-card coverage and published price | Settlement and capabilities described | What to verify |
|---|---|---|---|
| Cashfree Payments | Its page describes Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Maestro acceptance, and says Indian businesses selling goods, digital products or services abroad can use the international gateway. Cashfree lists 140+ currencies, a 2.99% standard rate and a 2.69% anniversary offer. The page does not state the offer’s end date. Cashfree international payment gateway | Cashfree says INR settlement is typically T+2 business days. Listed capabilities include Apple Pay, PayPal checkout, local bank transfers through multi-currency accounts, recurring payments and FIRS for every international payment. Cashfree product details | Confirm that your business qualifies, whether the anniversary rate still applies, and the complete fee and FX terms. Conversion and cost-savings claims on the page are marketing claims, not guaranteed outcomes. |
| Razorpay | Its India-facing page describes international card payments and advertises pricing up to 3%. It does not establish a complete currencies or countries list in the reviewed material. Razorpay international payment gateway | Listed features include Apple Pay, payment links and pages, subscriptions, Shopify and Magento plugins, APIs, webhooks and a sandbox. The reviewed page does not state an equally clear settlement window. Razorpay product details | Ask for your actual rate and settlement schedule, plus supported buyer markets and currencies. Razorpay’s claim of up to 10% higher success rates from routing and retry features is a provider marketing claim, not an independently verified result for every merchant. |
| PayU | PayU says it supports major international credit and debit cards, including Visa, Mastercard and American Express, and 135+ currencies. The reviewed page does not publish a numeric international-card rate. PayU international payments | PayU says international payments are converted to INR and typically settled in T+2 business days. The page also describes PayPal wallet payments and 3DS 2.0/fraud detection. PayU product details | Request a written quote that itemizes the effective rate and currency-conversion treatment. |
The currency counts, rates and settlement windows above are providers’ own product-page claims, checked on October 4, 2026; the pages do not establish independent comparative performance. A count of currencies alone also does not show whether your target countries, card mix and checkout currencies are supported.
