The Payoneer India Cross-Border Excellence Awards 2026 concluded with a ceremony in New Delhi on 25 September. The Economic Times’ post-event report lists winners and runners-up across 16 categories, spanning services, e-commerce, business support and regional export leadership. The results point to a broad export economy—not just technology firms—with winners in apparel, home textiles, wellness, logistics, aerospace and steel as well as IT and SaaS.
What the awards recognized
Organized by Payoneer India Commerce LLP in association with Times Internet Limited (The Economic Times), the awards grouped businesses by export model and role. The 16 categories included six service-export categories, three e-commerce categories, four independent categories and three regional leader categories. The ceremony coverage says certificates and trophies were presented.
That breadth matters: the winners included both digital service providers and companies selling or delivering physical goods. The category design also recognized businesses that support incorporation, employ globally, build cross-border brands or lead exports in a region.

How were the awards judged?
The post-event account describes five weighted evaluation dimensions. Growth and scale carried the largest share, while digital infrastructure and payments had the smallest.
| Evaluation dimension | Weight | What the published criteria describe |
|---|---|---|
| Growth and scale | 40% | Year-over-year revenue and a two-to-three-year trajectory; billed foreign revenue was considered for service exporters. |
| Market reach and diversification | 30% | Geographies served, depth of penetration and international markets entered in the preceding two years. |
| Product or service uniqueness and innovation | 15% | Innovation and differentiation. |
| Employment and community impact | 10% | Contribution to employment and community impact. |
| Digital infrastructure and payments | 5% | Use of digital infrastructure and payment capabilities. |
The awards microsite adds category-specific measures: for e-commerce, these include cross-border GMV and regional growth relative to a sector baseline; market depth can include retention, repeat rate and reliance on a single market. Those details help explain why the framework looks beyond headline revenue, although the post-event article does not publish individual scorecards or explain how each winner performed against each measure.
Rank #2
The Economic Times report names the jury as Dr. Abhay Sinha, Director General, SEPC India; Dr. Sridevi Arunachalam, Founder, Indo-UAE Economic Chamber of Commerce; Dr. Abhilasha Gaur, CEO, SSC NASSCOM; and Sarita Raichura, Director, Blume Ventures.
What the results suggest about India’s export mix
The category spread supports a more varied picture of cross-border business than a technology-only narrative. Service exporters such as HIC Global Solutions, SalesCode.ai and Nexdigm share the results with product and industrial businesses including IBA Crafts, Eurospa TerryTowels, Ziegler Aerospace and Laxcon Steels. Logistics, wellness, apparel and home textiles also appear in the winner list.
Rank #3
The judging weights likewise put the strongest emphasis on growth and scale, followed by market reach and diversification. That makes expansion beyond a single customer base or geography central to the stated framework, alongside innovation, employment and payment infrastructure. The awards recognize selected businesses; the published results do not establish that they represent all Indian exporters or prove a national trend on their own.
Export figures cited around the event
The Economic Times’ event feature reports India’s total exports at $863 billion in FY2026 and services exports at $421.3 billion in FY2026, above an earlier estimate of $418.3 billion. These are figures as reported by the outlet, not independently verified government statistics in the material available here.
A June 2025 launch release distributed by PRNewswire and carried by Business Standard reported FY2025 services exports of $387.6 billion and year-over-year growth of 13.6%. That is a different financial year from the FY2026 figures and should not be treated as the same period. The launch release and event feature also describe a government ambition of $2 trillion in exports by 2030–31; its current official status is not established here.
What winners received—and what entrants should know
The award terms effective 1 March 2026 state that winners received a trophy and citation, plus recognition on The Economic Times platform through articles, press releases, social media and post-event coverage. The terms explicitly say there was no monetary prize.
Best Value
Participation was open to businesses duly registered and operating in India, as well as freelancers and entrepreneurs residing in India and engaged in cross-border trade, services or commerce. Employees and specified associates of the organizers, jurors and involved agencies were excluded. Separate nominations were required for multiple categories. Because this is a completed 2026 program, these terms describe the event and are not a current invitation to nominate.
The terms also granted the organizers a broad license to use nominees’ submitted names, company names, logos, content and event media for award-related promotion.
Source and date notes
The winner placements, ceremony date, judging weights and jury names above come from The Economic Times’ post-event feature, labeled ET Special and dated 25–26 September 2026. The export figures and stated $2 trillion ambition are attributed to that coverage rather than presented as independently validated official statistics. The microsite currently displays schedule details that conflict with earlier timeline information, so historical nomination and jury dates are not repeated here.
