Paxos USDG became natively issued on Arbitrum One on October 5, 2026, after Arbitrum joined the Global Dollar Network. The launch is a new blockchain deployment for an existing stablecoin—not the creation of a new token. The Global Dollar Network reported more than $3 billion of USDG in circulation that day; that is a dated announcement figure, not a live supply reading.
What launched on Arbitrum?
USDG is Paxos’s dollar stablecoin, first introduced in 2024. The October 5, 2026 announcement from the Global Dollar Network said Arbitrum had joined as a network partner and USDG was natively issued on Arbitrum One. Native issuance means the token is issued on that blockchain rather than merely being represented there through a bridge from another chain.
The network said USDG was set to become the “default dollar” across Arbitrum DeFi. That describes an ecosystem ambition, not a guarantee that every Arbitrum app supports USDG or that it is safer or more suitable than other stablecoins.
What does the $3 billion figure represent?
The Global Dollar Network’s October 5 launch announcement reported more than $3 billion of USDG in circulation and more than 150 network partners. Both numbers are the network’s dated figures; they should not be read as a current live measurement or as independently audited figures. Separately, Arbitrum’s October 6 launch post said roughly $4 billion of stablecoins were held on Arbitrum. That is an approximate ecosystem figure published by Arbitrum, not a USDG-specific amount.

Who issues USDG, and what backs it?
Paxos documentation identifies Paxos Digital Singapore Pte. Ltd. as USDG’s issuer and describes the company as a Major Payments Institution supervised by the Monetary Authority of Singapore. These are issuer statements about the named entity and its regulatory status; they do not establish that every user or transaction is covered by the same rules in every jurisdiction.
Paxos says USDG is redeemable from Paxos one-to-one for U.S. dollars, with cash and cash-equivalent reserve assets held in segregated accounts. The company also says it publishes monthly reserve-composition reports and independent third-party attestations. These are Paxos disclosures, not a guarantee against loss or a promise that every holder can redeem directly: access can depend on eligibility and platform terms.

Where can users access USDG on Arbitrum?
Arbitrum’s October 6 launch post named Fluid, Morpho, GMX, Maple, Uniswap, and Kraken as early integrations. Cointelegraph separately reported Kraken deposits and withdrawals and Stargate cross-chain transfers. These announcements identify services associated with the launch, but availability and supported actions can vary by location, account, and service. Check each provider’s current asset and network support before sending funds.

That process is not necessarily the only way a retail user could obtain USDG: exchange access or a supported protocol may offer different routes, each with its own restrictions and fees. Confirm that a service supports USDG specifically on Arbitrum One; support for USDG on another network is not the same thing.

Is the proposed 100 million ARB incentive approved?
No approval is established by the cited information. An October 6, 2026 ArbitrumDAO forum proposal requests an additional 100 million ARB for an incentive program. A proposal is a request for consideration, not evidence of a passed vote, implementation, or finalized terms. Treat any claim that the grant is approved as unconfirmed unless a later governance decision establishes it.

What should users verify before using USDG?
- Network: Confirm the destination is Arbitrum One and that the sending and receiving service support USDG on that network.
- Access: Review account, location, and identity requirements with the exchange, protocol, or issuer you plan to use.
- Redemption: Read Paxos’s current terms and confirm whether direct redemption is available to you; an issuer’s redemption statement does not automatically apply to every wallet or platform user.
