A passenger died and three people were seriously injured in a three-vehicle crash on S.R. 100 west of Black Point Road in Flagler County, according to Florida Highway Patrol information reported by WFTV. The crash happened at about 7:18 p.m. Friday, October 2, 2026.
How the crash happened
WFTV’s October 3 account of the FHP crash report says a westbound sedan driven by a 28-year-old Bunnell man struck the rear of a pickup truck. The pickup left the roadway and overturned in a tree line.
The sedan then rotated into the eastbound lane and collided with a second sedan driven by a 34-year-old Ormond Beach woman. The first sedan overturned and came to a stop in a ditch on the south side of S.R. 100.

Reported injuries and fatality
A male passenger in the Bunnell driver’s sedan died at the scene. WFTV reported that FHP said he was not wearing a seat belt. His identity, age, and hometown had not been released as of WFTV’s October 3 publication; this account does not establish whether authorities have since provided those details.

- The pickup’s 72-year-old driver and 79-year-old passenger were reported seriously injured.
- The second sedan’s occupants, a 34-year-old woman and her 35-year-old male passenger, were reported uninjured.
Road closure and what is not established
S.R. 100 was closed in both directions near Black Point Road on Friday night while authorities investigated. WFTV did not state when the road reopened.
The WFTV report attributes the crash details to FHP, but the official crash report was not independently available in the source account. It does not establish a cause, speed, fault determination, charges, or any later investigative findings.
