Paramount+’s October 2026 lineup includes When Harry Met Sally…, Parasite, and Drag Me to Hell, all listed as October 1 arrivals. Tom’s Guide counted 72 additions across movies and shows, though Paramount+’s schedule does not state that total. The three films offer very different first picks: a warm romantic comedy, a tense social satire, or campy supernatural horror.

What Paramount+ added on October 1

Paramount+’s official October movie schedule lists all three films below among its October 1 additions. Tom’s Guide’s October 1, 2026 article describes the broader slate as 72 new movies and shows; that is Tom’s Guide’s count, not a total stated in Paramount+’s schedule. The official lineup is framed around the US service, and availability in other regions has not been established.

Paramount+ cautions that “Dates for library titles are subject to change.” Its schedule also says some titles require a Premium subscription, but does not identify the plan requirement for each of these three films. Check the title in your Paramount+ app for current availability and plan details.

Three films to stream first

When Harry Met Sally… (1989): for a warm, conversational rewatch

Harry Burns and Sally Albright begin as acquaintances and, over years of relationships and conversations, develop a friendship. Tom’s Guide recommends the film for its lead chemistry, Nora Ephron’s script, and Rob Reiner’s direction. It is the gentlest choice of the three: pick it for romance, sharp conversation, and an easygoing movie night.

Parasite (2019): for tension, satire, and a post-film conversation

This thriller-comedy follows the struggling Kim family as its members enter the affluent Park family’s household under false pretenses. The film shifts among black comedy, satire, crime caper, family drama, and scares, making it the most tonally varied pick here. Choose it when you want something tense and unsettling as well as funny.

Drag Me to Hell (2009): for grotesque, campy scares

Bank loan officer Christine Brown is cursed after refusing to extend an elderly woman’s mortgage. Tom’s Guide’s recommendation centers on director Sam Raimi’s blend of gross-out body horror, slapstick, and scares. It suits a seasonal horror night better than a cozy rewatch; expect grotesque effects alongside its jolts.
