If you want convincing Dolby Atmos sound without immediately adding a soundbar, the Panasonic Z95B is the clearest premium option supported by the available model-specific evidence. TechRadar reports a 5.1.2-channel, 160 W built-in speaker system and describes its sound as punchy, immersive, and detailed. Atmos support alone, however, does not tell you how good a TV’s speakers will sound.
What Dolby Atmos on a TV actually means
Dolby describes Atmos as a format that creates a spatial soundscape by positioning audio in three-dimensional space. It can play through a television’s built-in speakers, a soundbar, wireless speakers, headphones, or a larger home-theater system, according to Dolby’s TV guide.
An Atmos logo indicates format compatibility, not a particular level of immersion or speaker quality. The result depends on the TV’s speaker hardware, the content and source device, and how the system is connected. For a TV-only setup, look for independent listening impressions and disclosed speaker details rather than choosing by the badge alone.

Panasonic Z95B: the clearest built-in audio candidate
TechRadar’s 65-inch TV guide, updated in October 2026, reports that the Panasonic Z95B has a 5.1.2-channel, 160 W Dolby Atmos speaker system. The reviewer describes its sound as punchy, immersive, and detailed, and says some listeners may not need a soundbar. The Z95B is a sensible shortlist choice if you want to start with TV speakers and value a specifically described built-in system. Before buying, confirm the exact regional model and its specifications: product features and availability can vary between markets.
LG FlexConnect: an expandable option in a specific ecosystem
LG Electronics USA announced on February 4, 2026, that a software update enabled Dolby Atmos FlexConnect on selected 2025 OLED G5, C5, and CS5 televisions. Supported sets can connect directly to LG Sound Suite M5 or M7 wireless speakers and a W7 subwoofer, with the TV acting as a hub. LG says the arrangement supports up to 22 configurations; that figure describes possible system configurations, not an independent measure of sound quality.

This option is limited to the named TV models and compatible LG Sound Suite equipment. Check that your exact regional model has the required software update and that the components are available where you live. A TV paired with an Atmos soundbar or home theater
A soundbar is optional, but it can be a better fit if you want more room-filling sound than the television provides. Dolby says many TVs can support Atmos without a soundbar, while an external system can also deliver the format. This evidence does not establish a best soundbar model, so choose a system based on the room, speaker arrangement, and confirmed compatibility with your TV.

How to choose for your room and priorities
- Decide whether built-in audio is enough. If you do not want extra equipment, prioritize reviewer-tested sound and disclosed speaker layout or power. If you want a fuller system, verify that the TV can pass Atmos to your soundbar or receiver.

- Choose a size that suits your seating distance. Consider where you sit and how much of your field of view you want the screen to fill, rather than treating a larger screen as automatically better.
- Check the exact regional model. Feature support can differ by model and market. Panasonic’s lineup information is specific to Europe and says availability and support vary by model; do not assume a feature listed for one region applies worldwide. What you need for Atmos through an external sound system
For Atmos playback on a soundbar or home-theater system, the content must include Atmos and the source-to-speaker signal path must support it. Dolby identifies HDMI ARC/eARC or passthrough as possible connection approaches, depending on the devices and setup, and notes that compatible HDMI cabling is relevant. Consult the instructions for the TV, source device, and audio system to confirm the supported connection and settings; the Atmos logo on one component does not guarantee that every link in the chain will pass the format.
