Pakistan’s Ministry of IT and Telecommunication announced Indus AI Week for February 9–15, 2026. Those dates have passed. The planned program included a policy summit and a public-facing innovation arena in Islamabad, alongside aligned activities around the country; available official materials describe the agenda but do not establish final attendance, delivery, or results.
What was Indus AI Week?
The Ministry said it organized Indus AI Week through a public-private partnership as a national platform for government, industry, academia, startups, students, and the wider public. Its stated aims included AI awareness, capability-building, responsible adoption, and practical engagement. The organizer framed the initiative around policy, innovation, talent, and investment. These are the organizers’ purposes, not independently measured outcomes. The Ministry’s announcement and the official Indus AI Week site provide the event’s description.
What was planned, and where?
The announced program had three distinct parts. The summit and arena were planned for separate Islamabad venues; nationwide ecosystem activities were to take place at locations hosted by participating institutions.

What activities were on the announced schedule?
The official program listed the following items for the summit and arena period. They should be read as scheduled activities rather than a verified account of what was ultimately delivered.
- National AI Summit
- AI for Her
- Innovation hub and industry expo
- AR/VR and robotics showcase
- Global Game Jam and eSports championship
- National AI training bootcamp
- Expert talks and workshops
The official schedule supplied these program details. Its Technology and Innovation Hub page also listed “30+” startup showcases, “50+” investors, “20+” workshops, and “1000+” attendees as program figures. Those figures were listed by the organizer in 2026; they do not establish completed counts or final attendance. The hub information does not verify that the listed figures were achieved.

What is known about the event’s results?
The available Ministry and organizer pages establish the event’s announced aims and planned structure, but do not provide a substantiated post-event account of final attendance, activities delivered, or impact. The stated ambition to build AI capability or encourage responsible adoption should not be treated as evidence that those outcomes were measured or achieved.

What should participants know about the game jam and startup support?
Game Jam equipment
The official game-jam page said participants in the physical build phase had to bring their own workstation. It did not specify a required model, performance level, or brand. For a comparable future game-development activity, participants should check that edition’s technical requirements before choosing equipment; the 2026 instruction was not a product recommendation. The event site carried the game-jam information.
Cloud Credit Sprint
The event materials described a Cloud Credit Sprint for startups, including AWS credits and support involving Atomic Computing. The listed application deadline was February 3, 2026, so this is historical information, not an open offer. Any future edition’s eligibility, terms, and availability would need to be checked in its own official announcement. The organizer’s event information described the sprint.
