Pakistan’s federal cabinet approved a 17-member Prime Minister’s Task Force on IT and Telecom at a meeting on October 25, 2018. The group was chaired by then Information Technology and Telecommunication Minister Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui. A Ministry of IT notification dated November 5 recorded the approval, according to Dawn’s report published November 15, 2018.

Dawn corrected an earlier identification of Mustafa as Tameer Bank’s CEO: following Tameer Bank’s acquisition by Telenor, it was rebranded as Telenor Microfinance Bank in 2017.
