The Golden State Valkyries beat the Dallas Wings 77–73 in the deciding game of their first-round WNBA playoff series, rallying from 16 points down. How did the Valkyries come back?
Dallas built its largest lead, 53–37, early in the third quarter. Golden State cut the deficit to 59–54 by the end of the period, then finished the comeback to win by four.
The closing sequence turned on a late possession. Gabby Williams put Golden State ahead with a 17-foot jumper with 1:17 left. With 13.1 seconds remaining and the Valkyries leading by one, Williams recovered her own missed shot. Officials initially awarded the ball to Dallas, but Golden State coach Natalie Nakase challenged successfully, reversing the call.

What were Bueckers’ stats?
Bueckers finished with 17 points and six assists. She made 3 of 14 field-goal attempts and all 10 of her free throws. Arike Ogunbowale led Dallas with 30 points. For Golden State, Williams scored 19 points, while Veronica Burton had 16 points, 10 rebounds and six assists.
The box score gives the numbers, but it does not by itself explain the loss. The AP recap reports the comeback and late challenge without assigning blame to Bueckers or any single player.
