Oppo has not confirmed a wide-screen phone, its aspect ratio, or its screen size. A report published October 8, 2026, cites conflicting rumored diagonals—about 6.3–6.4 inches and 7.6 inches—so there is no sound basis for guessing one exact size. The often-mentioned 16:9 ratio is also unverified for Oppo.
What is the reported screen size of Oppo’s wide-screen phone?
There is no confirmed screen size. GSMDome’s October 8, 2026 report summarizes earlier claims of a roughly 6.3–6.4-inch display, then notes a newer 7.6-inch claim that conflicts with them. The report describes the specifications as preliminary; neither figure is an official Oppo specification. GSMDome’s report attributes the broader development claim to tipster Digital Chat Station, not to Oppo.
With the reports disagreeing, selecting either diagonal—or averaging them—would create a false impression of precision. The available information does not establish which figure, if either, is accurate.

Is Oppo making a 16:9 phone?
That ratio has not been confirmed for an Oppo device. The 16:9 wording is part of the rumor’s framing, not a published Oppo specification. The report says Oppo may be exploring a rigid, wide-screen slab phone, but that claim remains unconfirmed and does not establish the phone’s final design or aspect ratio. The sources reviewed contain no official Oppo announcement naming a model, confirming the device, or listing its display specifications.

What can Huawei’s Pura X View tell us about a wide screen?
Huawei’s Pura X View is a separate, confirmed product—not evidence of Oppo’s specifications. Huawei lists a 6.39-inch OLED display with 2232 × 1320 resolution and a 120 Hz refresh rate. Its support page describes the display ratio as 16:9.5 and gives the display area as 11427 mm² (Huawei, 2026). Huawei’s official specifications and official display information provide those figures.
Huawei’s product statement describes the 16:9.5 display as offering horizontal space while retaining the portable feel of a conventional phone. That is Huawei’s description of its own product, not an independent assessment or a claim about Oppo. Huawei says the Pura X View went on sale in China on September 9, 2026; that date says nothing about an Oppo launch or availability elsewhere. Huawei’s release information

- Aspect ratio and resolution: These establish the display’s shape and pixel dimensions; a diagonal alone does not.
- Body dimensions and weight: A wide panel can affect one-handed reach and pocketability, but the screen ratio alone cannot establish how the whole phone feels.
- Construction: Confirm whether the device is a conventional rigid slab or uses a foldable design.
- Display and battery specifications: Check the panel type, refresh rate, and battery capacity in Oppo’s published listing.
- Software and app behavior: A wider screen’s usefulness depends in part on how apps and video handle its shape.
- Price and sales region: Verify these from an official announcement or product listing rather than inferring availability from a rumor.
