91mobiles displayed ₹36,999 for the Redmi Note 17 Pro 5G when its comparison page was accessed on 4 October 2026. That page does not state a price publication date, and Xiaomi’s consulted official specifications page does not confirm the price. Subtracting that snapshot from OPPO’s listed 8GB/128GB price gives ₹13,000, but this is not a confirmed like-for-like or current price difference: the Xiaomi capacity attached to that listing is not established here, and the offers may change. Check live prices for matching storage tiers before deciding which is better value.
Which phone makes more sense for your priorities?
Choose the OPPO if you want a dedicated zoom camera or expandable storage
The Reno16c’s 50MP telephoto camera has 3.5x optical zoom and OIS, making it the specification-led choice for framing distant subjects without relying solely on digital cropping. Its listed rear setup also includes a main camera with OIS and an ultrawide. OPPO explicitly says storage-card expansion is supported, which may matter if you keep a large offline photo, video or music library.

Choose the Xiaomi if screen size and resolution matter more
The Redmi Note 17 Pro 5G’s 6.83-inch display is larger than the OPPO’s 6.57-inch screen, and its listed 2772 × 1280 resolution is higher than OPPO’s 2372 × 1080. Both are AMOLED panels with refresh rates up to 120Hz. The larger panel may suit people who prefer more viewing area, while the resolution figures establish pixel count rather than comparative brightness, color accuracy or outdoor visibility.

Weigh battery capacity against charging speed
Xiaomi lists 9000mAh typical capacity, compared with OPPO’s 7000mAh typical (6850mAh rated) battery. OPPO’s listed wired charging is faster at 80W, versus Xiaomi’s 67W. These figures do not show how long either phone lasts in everyday use or how quickly it charges in all conditions; the consulted pages do not document a controlled endurance or charging comparison.
Check the exact storage configuration
OPPO lists three memory/storage combinations, including a 12GB/256GB option, and storage-card expansion. Xiaomi lists 8GB/128GB and 8GB/256GB models; the 256GB configuration uses UFS 3.1 rather than the 128GB model’s UFS 2.2. What to verify before buying in India
- Compare live prices for the same storage capacity and memory configuration; the cited Xiaomi price is a third-party snapshot, not an official confirmed price.
- Confirm the model number, network-band support, warranty and configuration for your intended market. The specifications and OPPO pricing here are India-specific.
- Check current offers and included box contents with the seller. OPPO says the Reno16c is sold through its India store and authorized retail partners, and lists a charger, case and other accessories in the box; actual contents and terms can vary by region or sale.
OPPO’s India page identifies the Reno16c 5G as model CPH2859 and gives a release date of 2 July 2026. The Xiaomi India specification page lists the Redmi Note 17 Pro 5G hardware, but does not provide a publication date in the consulted content.
