The India-market OPPO Reno16 5G (CPH2865) is the smaller, lighter choice with a dedicated 3.5× telephoto and 50MP ultra-wide camera. The vivo V70 FE has a larger display, a higher-capacity battery on paper and a 200MP stabilized main camera. A verified current India price difference cannot be stated from the official pages cited here: OPPO lists dated prices, while vivo’s reviewed specification page does not publish a price.

OPPO’s India product details page lists ₹66,999 for the Reno16 5G 8GB+256GB and ₹72,999 for 12GB+256GB, with the figures stated as correct on 31 August 2026. Those are dated manufacturer prices, not a guarantee of today’s retailer price.

The vivo India specification page reviewed lists the V70 FE’s 8GB+128GB configuration but no price. That means a reliable numeric price gap cannot be calculated here. Check the current local price and exact storage configuration for both phones before deciding; comparing unlike capacities may make a headline price gap misleading. OPPO’s original launch announcement listed lower prices—₹61,999 and ₹67,999 for the respective Reno16 configurations—but those launch figures should not be mixed with OPPO’s later dated product-page prices.
Which phone has the better camera setup?
Reno16: more focal-length options
The Reno16 pairs a 50MP main camera with a dedicated 50MP 3.5× telephoto portrait camera and a 50MP ultra-wide. That gives it a distinct telephoto option for framing distant subjects or portraits, alongside a wide view. OPPO’s launch announcement says it supports 4K 60fps HDR recording across three focal lengths.

V70 FE: high-resolution stabilized main camera
The V70 FE combines a 200MP OIS main camera with an 8MP 120° wide-angle camera. Its front camera is 50MP with autofocus, while the Reno16’s 50MP front camera is described as ultra-wide with a 100° field of view.
These specifications describe different camera approaches, not a proven photo-quality winner. Megapixel counts alone do not establish detail, low-light results, color, autofocus reliability or video quality, and the available official pages do not provide a controlled comparative camera test.

Screen, size and battery: where the trade-offs are
The V70 FE’s 6.83-inch display is substantially larger by diagonal than the Reno16’s 6.32-inch screen, and its listed resolution is also higher. That larger panel may suit users who prioritize room for video, reading or multitasking; the Reno16’s smaller dimensions and approximately 182g listed weight may be easier to carry. The vivo page gives variant-specific weights: 200g for Monsoon Blue and 202g for Northern Lights Purple.
vivo lists a 7000mAh typical battery and 90W FlashCharge, versus OPPO’s 6700mAh typical battery and 80W SUPERVOOC. Capacity and charging wattage are specification advantages on paper, not proof of longer real-world runtime or a specific charging time. Actual charging depends on conditions; vivo notes use of its standard charger for its charging specifications.

Performance, software and durability
The Reno16 uses Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7 Gen 4; the V70 FE uses the MediaTek Dimensity 7360-Turbo, an octa-core 4nm processor. The listed chip names and manufacturing process do not establish which phone is faster in everyday use or games. No independent benchmark comparison is available in the official material cited here.
OPPO lists ColorOS 16 based on Android, while vivo lists OriginOS 6 and Android 16. The specifications do not establish which device will receive updates for longer, so check each manufacturer’s current update policy if support duration matters to your purchase.

OPPO lists IP66, IP68, IP69 and IP69K ratings; vivo lists IP68 and IP69. These are manufacturer ratings under specified test conditions, not a promise that either phone is permanently waterproof or immune to damage. vivo explicitly cautions that resistance to splashes, water and dust is not permanent and may decline with daily use.
Which should you buy?
- Choose the Reno16 if you want a smaller, lighter phone on the published specifications and value having a dedicated 3.5× telephoto plus a 50MP ultra-wide. Confirm the price and whether 8GB or 12GB RAM suits you.
- Consider the V70 FE if you prefer a larger screen, the higher listed battery capacity and charging wattage, or a 200MP OIS main camera. Verify its current India price and 128GB storage capacity against your needs.
Neither choice is an evidence-backed overall winner: the available information is a specification comparison, not hands-on testing of speed, camera output, battery life or charging time.
