The vivo V80 has the higher stated display resolution and refresh rate, a larger battery and a higher wired-charging rating. OPPO Reno15 offers more RAM options and a lower official launch price. In India, the launch-price gap starts at ₹17,000, but that compares different storage capacities: V80 8GB/128GB with Reno15 8GB/256GB. These are manufacturer specifications and launch prices, not independent test results or live retail prices.

India launch prices: what the difference actually compares

OPPO announced the Reno15 in India on 8 January 2026, with sales beginning 13 January. vivo’s V80 launch announcement, published 6 October 2026, lists its India prices. The figures below are manufacturer launch prices, not current retailer quotes.

Phone and configuration India launch price
OPPO Reno15 8GB/256GB ₹45,999
OPPO Reno15 12GB/256GB ₹48,999
OPPO Reno15 12GB/512GB ₹53,999
vivo V80 8GB/128GB ₹62,999
vivo V80 8GB/256GB ₹69,999
vivo V80 8GB/512GB ₹79,999

The entry-price difference is ₹17,000: ₹62,999 for V80 8GB/128GB minus ₹45,999 for Reno15 8GB/256GB. Because the V80 has half the base storage in that comparison, it is not like-for-like. At 256GB, the V80 launch price is ₹21,000 above Reno15 12GB/256GB, though the Reno15 has 12GB RAM and the V80 has 8GB.

OPPO named Amazon, Flipkart, mainline retail outlets and its e-store as Reno15 sales channels at launch; vivo named Flipkart for V80. Those announcements do not establish current stock, today’s price or retailer warranty terms. Check the same storage tier and current listing before buying. vivo V80

vivo highlights a 50MP OIS main camera and a 50MP OIS telephoto camera with 3× optical zoom, along with ZEISS camera branding and 4K 60fps recording. Camera branding, resolution and feature lists do not establish which phone takes better photos or video; that requires comparable testing.

Thus, Reno15 offers 12GB RAM options, while V80’s listed launch variants all have 8GB RAM and include a 128GB base-storage option. Confirm the exact configuration in the listing for your market.

Software support and wired-audio compatibility

OPPO’s Reno15 launch release says the Reno15 series supports five major ColorOS version updates and six years of security updates. vivo’s V80 page advertises up to six years of extended security updates, calculated from the model’s initial global launch; vivo notes that availability and duration can vary by model and market. These are differently described support commitments, not directly equivalent terms.

Which phone fits your priorities?

  • Consider V80 if its published 1.5K display and up-to-144Hz refresh ceiling, larger listed battery, 90W wired-charging rating or specified 3× telephoto zoom matter most to you.
  • Consider Reno15 if you want a lower launch-price starting point or a listed 12GB RAM configuration.
  • Before deciding, compare current prices at the same storage capacity, check the exact memory variant, confirm whether a charger is included in the local box, and verify local warranty and network-band support. Prices and included accessories can differ by market.

The comparison is based on India-market manufacturer specifications and launch announcements; it does not establish a universal camera, battery-life or performance winner.
