Both are 6.32-inch phones with 200MP main cameras and 50MP telephoto and ultra-wide rear cameras. A current price difference cannot be stated reliably without a country and a verified Reno16 Pro local price: OPPO India’s January 2026 prices for the Mini were launch prices, not confirmed current selling prices.
Specifications and availability vary by market, so compare the exact regional model and configuration before buying. The figures below are manufacturer-published specifications, not independent test results.

Which phone has the better display and performance?
On the published figures, the Reno16 Pro has the higher potential refresh rate and newer-named chipset. Its 144Hz figure applies only in certain supported gaming scenarios; it should not be read as a constant refresh rate across all apps. OPPO lists up to 120Hz for the Reno15 Pro Mini.
The two screens have the same stated 6.32-inch diagonal, so the Mini name does not mean it has a smaller display by that measure. OPPO lists Dimensity 8450 for the Mini and Dimensity 8550 Super Platform for the Reno16 Pro, but those component names alone do not establish how large a real-world speed difference is. No independent benchmark comparison is available here.

Which phone has the better camera?
The rear-camera resolution lists are broadly similar: both have a 200MP main camera with OIS and 50MP telephoto and ultra-wide cameras. The Reno16 Pro’s stated telephoto specification adds 3.5× optical zoom with OIS. That is a concrete difference on paper, but megapixel counts and feature lists do not establish which phone takes better photos; no independent head-to-head camera test is available.
Both front cameras are listed at 50MP with a 100° field of view. OPPO also lists 4K front ultra-wide portrait video for the Reno16 Pro. A wide field of view can help fit more people into a selfie, but actual image quality cannot be judged from the resolution alone.

Battery capacity: check the Reno16 Pro regional version
OPPO India lists the Reno15 Pro Mini at 6200mAh typical capacity, with a 6035mAh rated figure, and up to 80W SUPERVOOC charging. OPPO’s global Reno16 Pro page advertises up to 6700mAh and 80W, while separately noting a 6000mAh version in some regions. Those Reno16 figures are not interchangeable: check the specification for the exact market SKU rather than assuming the largest listed capacity applies everywhere. Capacity and charging ratings do not by themselves predict battery life.
