The OPPO Reno15 Pro Mini is the compact choice, with a 6.32-inch display and a listed weight of about 187–188g. Motorola’s Edge 70 Max is built around a much larger 6.82-inch QHD+ display, a 7100mAh battery and Snapdragon 8 Gen 5. OPPO’s India launch prices are known, but a current India price for the Motorola is not established, so there is no reliable current price difference to quote.
At a glance: compact handling or a larger display?
The clearest distinction is size. OPPO lists the Reno15 Pro Mini at 6.32 inches and about 187g in two colors or 188g in Crystal Pink. Motorola lists the Edge 70 Max with a 6.82-inch display. That makes the Reno the more compact-oriented option on the published dimensions, while the Motorola offers more screen area. Display size alone does not establish overall comfort; the Motorola specification page cited here does not provide its weight.

Specifications are manufacturer-listed figures, not independent tests. Camera megapixels do not establish photo quality, and battery capacity or charging wattage does not establish real-world endurance or charging time. OPPO and Motorola also use their own charging systems, so the headline wattages are not a direct speed comparison. (OPPO specifications; Motorola specifications)

OPPO specifies a flexible rear-camera set
OPPO lists a 200MP main camera, 50MP telephoto and 50MP ultra-wide on the Reno15 Pro Mini, plus a 50MP front camera. That gives the listed rear system three distinct camera types, including a dedicated telephoto. These sensor resolutions describe hardware; they are not evidence that the Reno takes better photos than the Edge 70 Max.

Motorola lists a higher-tier named chipset
Motorola’s specification page names the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5, while OPPO names the Dimensity 8450. Motorola also lists 8GB LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB UFS 4.1 storage; OPPO lists 12GB RAM with either 256GB or 512GB storage. Chip names and memory configurations can help distinguish the published hardware, but without comparable benchmark or sustained-use testing they do not establish which phone is faster in practice.
Battery and charging: capacities are not endurance tests
The Motorola has the larger listed capacity: 7100mAh, compared with OPPO’s 6200mAh typical capacity (6035mAh rated). Motorola lists 90W wired TurboPower and 25W magnetic wireless charging; OPPO lists up to 80W SUPERVOOC. These are manufacturer specifications. A larger capacity does not by itself prove longer everyday battery life, and different charging technologies and conditions mean the wattage figures should not be read as a measured head-to-head charging result.

OPPO named Amazon, Flipkart, its e-store and retail outlets as planned sales channels. The current price and stock for either Reno configuration were not checked. The cited Motorola specification page does not give an India price, and the available third-party comparison figure was not sufficiently dated or tied to a verified configuration. A current price gap therefore cannot be calculated reliably. Check same-day listings for the exact storage configurations before comparing what you would pay. Which phone should you choose?
- Choose the Reno15 Pro Mini if compact dimensions matter most. Its 6.32-inch display and listed 187–188g weight make it the more compact-oriented option in this comparison. Its published camera specifications also include main, telephoto and ultra-wide rear cameras.
- Consider the Edge 70 Max if you want a larger, sharper display and bigger listed battery. Motorola specifies a 6.82-inch 1440 × 3168 display and a 7100mAh battery, as well as Snapdragon 8 Gen 5. These figures do not substitute for hands-on assessment of size, endurance or performance.
- Compare actual local prices before deciding on value. OPPO’s figures above are historical launch prices, and no verified current India price for the Motorola is established here. Match region, configuration and date when checking retailer listings.
Specifications and source scope
The Reno15 Pro Mini figures and launch terms above come from OPPO India’s product specifications and January 8, 2026 launch release. The Edge 70 Max figures come from Motorola’s US-domain support specification page; that page lists Android 16, but does not establish India pricing or local retail availability. Listed specifications should not be treated as independent comparative testing.
