The OPPO Reno15 5G and Motorola Edge 70 Pro 5G make different hardware bets: Reno15 lists a dedicated telephoto camera and an official 512GB option, while Motorola lists a larger 144Hz display, UFS 4.1 storage and 90W wired charging. Both have a stated 6500mAh battery. OPPO’s published prices are launch prices; a separate retailer snapshot is not a like-for-like or guaranteed current-price comparison.

Which phone has the better display and performance specifications?

Display size and refresh rate

Motorola lists the larger panel: 6.8 inches versus Reno15’s 6.59 inches, and a maximum refresh rate of 144Hz versus 120Hz. That makes the Edge 70 Pro the more compelling specification-led choice for shoppers who want more screen area or a higher listed refresh rate. Refresh rate alone does not establish overall display quality, brightness or visibility; those require direct evaluation.

Processor and storage

The Edge 70 Pro pairs the Dimensity 8500 Extreme with 256GB of UFS 4.1 storage. Reno15 uses the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 and lists UFS 3.1 storage, with configurations up to 512GB. Motorola’s processor is described as the higher performance-tier option in the cited comparison, but that is not a controlled test. A 91mobiles comparison page reports Geekbench multi-core scores of 6,864 for the Motorola and 4,200 for Reno15; its cited extract does not establish the original benchmark source, test conditions or software versions, so treat those numbers as secondary reported figures rather than a dependable prediction of everyday speed. How do their cameras differ?

The main hardware distinction is at the back. Reno15 lists three rear cameras, including a 50MP telephoto, alongside a 50MP OIS main camera and an 8MP ultrawide. Motorola lists a 50MP Sony LYTIA 710 OIS main camera and a 50MP autofocus ultrawide with macro; its cited specifications page does not list a telephoto camera. A dedicated telephoto can offer a distinct zoom or portrait-framing option on paper, but these specifications do not establish which phone takes better photos.

Both manufacturers list a 50MP autofocus front camera. Matching megapixel counts do not mean equal image quality. No hands-on camera testing is available here, so choose based on the camera types you expect to use rather than treating megapixels as a photo-quality score.

Battery, charging and durability

Both phones are specified with 6500mAh batteries. Motorola lists 90W wired charging, compared with OPPO’s 80W SUPERVOOC; Motorola also lists 5W wired reverse charging. These figures describe charging specifications, not measured charging times or battery life. No same-method battery test establishes which phone lasts longer.

OPPO lists IP66, IP68 and IP69 ratings, while Motorola lists IP68/IP69 and MIL-STD 810H; both list Gorilla Glass 7i. These are manufacturer-stated durability specifications, not a promise that a phone will survive every drop, liquid exposure or environmental condition. Follow the manufacturer’s care guidance rather than treating a rating as damage-proofing.

What is the price difference in India?

OPPO India announced the Reno15 on 8 January 2026 with launch prices of ₹45,999 for 8GB + 256GB, ₹48,999 for 12GB + 256GB and ₹53,999 for 12GB + 512GB. OPPO said sales would begin on 13 January 2026 through Amazon, Flipkart, retail outlets and its e-store. These are historical launch prices, not current quotes.

A 91mobiles snapshot accessed on 7 October 2026 showed ₹49,990 for Reno15 at Amazon and ₹39,999 for Edge 70 Pro at Flipkart. That is a ₹9,991 difference in that snapshot, but it compares different retailers and may not represent matching RAM/storage configurations or current prices. Check the live listing for the exact variant, seller, delivery terms and offers before deciding; the snapshot is not a stable price guarantee. The cited page also does not establish Motorola’s official launch price. Source: 91mobiles comparison.

For a fair price comparison, compare the same 256GB capacity and, where available, the same RAM tier at the same time. A current retailer price for one phone should not be compared directly with the other phone’s launch price as though both were current offers.

Which phone should you choose?

Choose OPPO Reno15 5G if

  • You want the listed 50MP telephoto camera for the flexibility of a dedicated zoom lens; this is a hardware distinction, not proof of better photos.
  • You need a manufacturer-listed 512GB configuration.
  • You prefer its 6.59-inch 120Hz display and are comfortable with the listed Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 and UFS 3.1 storage.

Choose Motorola Edge 70 Pro 5G if

  • You prefer a larger 6.8-inch panel with a listed refresh rate up to 144Hz.
  • You prioritize the Dimensity 8500 Extreme and 256GB UFS 4.1 configuration in the published specifications.
  • Motorola’s stated support of up to three years of OS upgrades and security patches is important to you.
  • You value the higher listed wired charging wattage or its 5W wired reverse-charging feature.

For a price-led decision, compare live listings for equivalent configurations rather than relying on the dated snapshot or mixing it with OPPO’s launch prices.
