The India-market OPPO Reno14 5G (CPH2737) has the stronger listed chipset, sharper display and more detailed 4K video modes; the Reno16c 5G (CPH2859) has the larger stated battery and storage-card support. Both list 80W charging and a 50MP telephoto camera. A reliable current price gap cannot be calculated from the available official prices because the Reno14 figure is from July 2025, while OPPO’s Reno16c figures are dated September 2026.

Which phone has the stronger performance and display specifications?

Chipset and memory

The Reno14 lists a MediaTek Dimensity 8350, compared with the Reno16c’s Dimensity 7300-Energy. That makes the Reno14 the stronger named chipset platform on these specification pages, but it is not a substitute for independent testing of speed, gaming, heat or battery impact. The Reno14 also lists LPDDR5X memory, while the Reno16c lists LPDDR4X; both list UFS 3.1 storage.

  • Rear: 50 MP, f/1.8, 26mm (wide), 1/1.95", 0.8µm, PDAF, OIS, 8 MP, f/2.2, 16mm, 112˚ (ultrawide), 1/4.0", 1.12µm, AF, 2 MP, f/2.4, (macro), Front: 32 MP, f/2.0, 22mm (wide), 1/2.74", 0.8µm, AF
  • 158.1 x 75 x 7.7 mm (6.22 x 2.95 x 0.30 in)

Screen resolution and brightness

The Reno14’s listed 1256 × 2760 resolution and 460 ppi are sharper on paper than the Reno16c’s FHD+ display. The Reno16c, however, lists a higher HBM figure: 1,400 nits versus the Reno14’s 1,200-nit typical HBM. These are not results from a common display test, so use them as specification differences rather than a definitive verdict on outdoor visibility.

Which phone has the better camera and video setup?

Both phones list a 50MP telephoto camera, and OPPO describes the Reno16c telephoto as 3.5x. The Reno14 specification page also lists a 50MP main camera and an 8MP ultra-wide, while OPPO’s Reno16c product page lists an ultra-wide without establishing an equivalent resolution in the cited details. Do not infer that the two camera systems are otherwise identical from the shared telephoto megapixel count.

Rank #2
OPPO Reno14 Dual-SIM 512GB ROM + 12GB RAM (GSM | CDMA) Factory Unlocked 5G Smartphone (Luminous Green) - International Version
  • 6.59 inches, AMOLED, 1B colors, 1256 x 2760 pixels

  • Android 15, ColorOS 15, Mediatek Dimensity 8350 (4 nm), Octa-core (1x3.35 GHz Cortex-A715 & 3x3.20 GHz Cortex-A715 & 4x2.20 GHz Cortex-A510)
  • Rear: 50 MP, f/1.8, 26mm (wide), PDAF, OIS, 50 MP, f/2.8, 80mm (telephoto), PDAF, OIS, 3.5x optical zoom, 8 MP, f/2.2, 15mm, 116˚ (ultrawide), 1/4.0", 1.12µm, AF, Front: 50 MP, f/2.0, 21mm (wide), AF

The clearest documented video advantage is the Reno14’s listed 4K recording at 60fps from both its rear and front cameras. OPPO comparison material lists 4K at 30fps for the Reno16c. Check the exact model’s specification page for recording modes before buying for a specific video workflow; the stated modes alone do not predict footage quality.

Does the Reno16c’s battery last longer?

The Reno16c has the larger stated capacity: 7,000mAh typical, against 6,000mAh typical for the Reno14. OPPO also lists rated capacities of 6,850mAh and 5,840mAh respectively. Both support 80W charging. Capacity is not an endurance test, so these figures do not establish how many hours either phone lasts under your usage or how quickly it charges in practice.

Rank #3

How do storage options differ?

The Reno14’s listed configurations are 8GB + 256GB, 12GB + 256GB, and 12GB + 512GB. The Reno16c offers 8GB + 128GB, 8GB + 256GB, and 12GB + 256GB. OPPO explicitly says the Reno16c supports a storage card, which may matter if you want expandable storage. The cited specification does not establish a card type or maximum supported capacity.

What is the Reno14 vs Reno16c price difference in India?

A current like-for-like price difference is not established by these official snapshots. OPPO’s detailed Reno16c page lists prices as of 9 September 2026: ₹49,999 for 8GB + 128GB, ₹53,999 for 8GB + 256GB, and ₹59,999 for 12GB + 256GB. OPPO’s available Reno14 announcement is dated 25 July 2025 and gives ₹37,999 for the Mint Green 8GB + 256GB variant and ₹39,999 for the Mint Green 12GB + 256GB variant. The dates, configurations and availability basis differ, so subtracting those figures would not give today’s price gap. OPPO Reno14 Mint Green price announcement; OPPO Reno16c product page.
