In India, the OPPO Reno14 5G is the stronger fit if you want an 80W charger, a larger stated battery and a 50MP selfie camera. The Nothing Phone (4a) Pro is the better match for a larger 144Hz screen, a periscope telephoto camera and a stated multi-year software-support period. Neither is an automatic winner: current prices and independent head-to-head test results are not established by the available sources.

This comparison covers the India-market OPPO Reno14 5G and Nothing Phone (4a) Pro. Their base configurations are 8GB RAM/128GB storage; both brands also list 12GB/256GB versions. Compare the same configuration before deciding which is better value.

What is the price difference in India?

At launch, the Reno14 5G 8GB/128GB cost ₹37,999 in India, while Android Central reported a ₹39,999 launch price for the Phone (4a) Pro base variant. That is a ₹2,000 difference between the two announced base prices, but they were announced in different years and do not establish today’s price gap.

A 91mobiles dynamic listing snapshot accessed on 7 October 2026 showed ₹43,806 for the Reno14, marked out of stock, and ₹46,350 for the Phone (4a) Pro. The listing does not establish a dependable matched-variant, in-stock comparison, so those figures should not be treated as a current deal or an apples-to-apples difference. Its comparison page is available at 91mobiles.

Before buying, compare the same RAM and storage, seller, tax treatment, stock status and warranty. In particular, the Reno14 has a 12GB/256GB option and Nothing’s India page also shows a 12GB/256GB configuration; comparing either of those is more useful than setting one brand’s base model against the other’s higher-capacity version.

Which phone has the bigger, smoother display?

The Nothing Phone (4a) Pro has the larger and faster-refresh display on published specifications: 6.83 inches at up to 144Hz, compared with the Reno14’s 6.59 inches and 120Hz. Both are listed as 1.5K AMOLED panels. The Nothing is the more compelling specification choice if screen size and refresh rate are priorities, although those figures alone do not establish which display looks better in person.

Which phone has the better camera?

The camera choice depends on what you shoot. Both phones list a 50MP telephoto camera with 3.5x optical zoom, but the hardware and additional claims differ. OPPO specifies a 50MP front camera and says its main, telephoto and front cameras can record 4K HDR at 60fps. Nothing lists a 50MP periscope camera, a 32MP front camera and 4K Ultra XDR video.

For selfies and video

The Reno14 has the higher-resolution front-camera specification. OPPO’s stated 4K HDR 60fps support across the front, main and telephoto cameras is also a concrete video capability to weigh against Nothing’s 4K Ultra XDR claim. These specifications do not demonstrate which phone produces better-looking photos or video; no matched independent camera test is established here.

For zoom

Both list 3.5x optical zoom, while Nothing describes its periscope system and advertises up to 140x ultra zoom. The 140x figure is an ultra-zoom claim, not 140x optical magnification, so it should not be read as equivalent detail at that range.

Which phone has better battery life and charging?

On stated India-market capacity and wired charging, Reno14 leads with a 6,000mAh battery and 80W charging. Nothing lists a 5,400mAh battery for India and 50W charging; its 5,080mAh figure applies to other markets. The larger capacity and higher charging wattage do not by themselves prove longer real-world battery life or a specific charging time, and the sources do not provide a matched endurance test.

Which phone is faster, and how long will it get updates?

The Reno14 uses MediaTek’s Dimensity 8350, while the Phone (4a) Pro uses Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7 Gen 4. Chipset names alone are not a reliable head-to-head performance result; no same-method testing is established here, so avoid choosing on that basis without benchmarks for the exact India models.

Nothing states that the Phone (4a) Pro will receive three years of Android OS updates and six years of security updates. OPPO’s cited India launch announcement identifies ColorOS 15 at launch but does not specify an update duration. That absence is not proof that OPPO offers no updates; check OPPO’s current regional support terms if a promised support period is important to your decision.

Which one should you choose?

  • Choose the OPPO Reno14 5G if you value its 80W wired charging, larger stated India battery, 50MP front-camera specification or OPPO’s ColorOS features—and its live price is attractive.
  • Choose the Nothing Phone (4a) Pro if you prefer the larger 144Hz display, Nothing’s design and software approach, its stated update period or its periscope zoom features.
  • Compare equal storage before judging value: both have a listed 12GB/256GB option, while the base configuration for each is 8GB/128GB.

Whichever you pick, verify the exact India model, live stock, seller, warranty and price at checkout. For OPPO, also check the package contents before buying a charger or case; Nothing’s support page lists a case and pre-applied screen protector in the Phone (4a) Pro box.
