For Indian buyers, the OPPO Reno14 5G is the stronger fit on paper if you want an AMOLED display and a dedicated telephoto camera; the Moto g max 5G listing reported by 91mobiles instead claims a larger screen and a higher-capacity battery. The model name and specifications for the Moto were not corroborated on the Motorola India Moto G family page reviewed, so verify the exact phone before relying on its listed price or buying it.

Display, cameras and everyday priorities
Choose the display type that matters to you
The Reno14’s official India specification is a 6.59-inch AMOLED panel with 1256 × 2760 resolution and refresh rates up to 120Hz. The 91mobiles listing gives the Moto a larger 6.72-inch LCD at 1080 × 2400 and 120Hz. That makes the Moto larger by the listed diagonal, while the Reno14 offers the AMOLED panel type and higher listed resolution. These specifications alone do not establish brightness, color accuracy or outdoor readability.
Camera flexibility depends on the telephoto lens
OPPO lists three rear cameras for the Reno14, including a 50MP telephoto camera with 2-axis optical image stabilization (OIS), alongside a 50MP wide camera with OIS and an 8MP ultrawide. The 91mobiles Moto listing names a 50MP main and an 8MP ultrawide, with no telephoto camera. If optical zoom flexibility is a priority, the Reno14 has the more versatile listed rear-camera arrangement. OPPO also specifies a 50MP autofocus front camera; 91mobiles lists 32MP for the Moto. Megapixel counts do not by themselves establish image quality.

Chipset and benchmark figures
The official Reno14 specification names MediaTek Dimensity 8350. 91mobiles lists Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 for the Moto. Its comparison page reports AnTuTu scores of 1,405,935 for Reno14 and 807,683 for Moto, and Geekbench multi-core scores of 4,105 and 2,600 respectively. Those are figures reported by 91mobiles in its stated test context, not independent results or a guarantee of how either phone will perform in a particular app or workload.

Capacity is not the same as measured endurance
OPPO specifies a 6,000mAh typical battery and 5,840mAh rated capacity for Reno14, with 80W SUPERVOOC charging. 91mobiles lists 7,000mAh and 30W charging for the Moto. The same comparison page reports PCMark battery durations of 12h 20m for Reno14 and 18h 15m for Moto. Treat those as 91mobiles test outputs, not promised everyday runtimes: usage, settings and test conditions affect actual battery life.
Update-duration figures need confirmation
91mobiles lists Android 15 and five years of OS updates plus six years of security updates for Reno14; for the Moto it lists Android 16, two years of OS updates and three years of security updates. These support-duration claims were not verified against manufacturer policy pages here. Confirm the applicable update commitment with the manufacturer for the exact device and market before treating it as a purchase factor.

Storage configurations and India launch prices
OPPO’s India specifications page lists Reno14 in 8GB+256GB, 12GB+256GB and 12GB+512GB configurations. OPPO’s 2025 India launch notice uses a different list for its launch prices: 8GB+128GB, 12GB+256GB and 12GB+512GB. The two pages therefore should not be read as a single matching variant-and-price table.

Price difference: why the displayed gap is not a live comparison
At the time of the 91mobiles comparison-page snapshot, it displayed ₹42,744 for Reno14 and marked it “Out of Stock”; it also displayed ₹27,599 for Moto g max 5G at Amazon. The simple difference is ₹15,145, with the Reno14 figure higher. But the snapshot compares an unavailable Reno14 listing with a Moto Amazon price, and it does not establish a same-day, same-configuration checkout comparison. Check current Indian listings for the exact storage variant, seller, stock status and final payable price before comparing. 91mobiles comparison page
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Which phone should you consider?
- Consider Reno14 if its verified local price fits your budget and you value an AMOLED panel, a dedicated telephoto camera, the official Dimensity 8350 specification or faster listed charging.
- Consider the reported Moto configuration if a larger display or higher listed battery capacity is more important, and you first confirm that the phone and seller listing correspond to the exact “Moto g max 5G” model.
- Do not decide from the headline price gap alone. Compare current stock and prices for matching configurations, and treat the third-party Moto specifications and comparison-page test results as reported claims rather than manufacturer-confirmed facts.
91mobiles also assigns expert scores of 8.1/10 to Reno14 and 8.0/10 to the Moto. Its displayed user-rating counts differ substantially—7,084 for Reno14 and 22 for Moto—so those figures are weak summary signals, not a decisive measure of which phone is right for you.
