For buyers in India seeking the smaller phone, the OPPO Reno 16 is the clearer fit: its 6.32-inch display is smaller than the vivo V70 Elite’s 6.59-inch screen, and its listed rear cameras include a 50MP ultra-wide and 3.5× telephoto. Choose the V70 Elite instead if you prioritize its listed processor and storage combination, 90W charging, or the lower prices reported in a July 2026 comparison. Camera specifications and one publisher’s tests do not establish which phone will take better photos or last longer in your own use.

How the two phones differ at a glance

Priority Better-supported fit What the specifications show
Smaller screen OPPO Reno 16 6.32 inches versus 6.59 inches for the V70 Elite. Screen size alone does not determine grip or one-handed comfort.
Listed ultra-wide resolution and telephoto reach OPPO Reno 16 50MP ultra-wide and 3.5× telephoto versus 8MP ultra-wide and 3× telephoto on the V70 Elite. These figures do not prove better image quality.
Processor and storage speed vivo V70 Elite Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 and UFS 4.1, compared with Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 and UFS 3.1 in the Reno 16, according to 91mobiles.
Larger display and reported peak brightness vivo V70 Elite 6.59-inch display and a claimed peak brightness of 5,000 nits in the comparison. Peak brightness is a specification, not a measure of sustained brightness in everyday conditions.
Listed charging rate vivo V70 Elite 90W, versus OPPO’s announced 80W for the Reno 16. Check the local model and compatible charger.
Prices reported in July 2026 vivo V70 Elite 91mobiles listed lower India prices for matching configurations at the time. Those dated figures are not guaranteed current prices.

Which phone is more compact?

The Reno 16 has a 6.32-inch display; the V70 Elite has a 6.59-inch display. That makes the Reno 16 the more natural starting point if you want a smaller screen and potentially easier one-handed use. OPPO describes the Reno 16’s compact screen and aluminum frame as designed for comfortable one-handed handling, but that is the manufacturer’s positioning, not an independent ergonomic finding.

Screen diagonal is only one part of how a phone feels. The V70 Elite’s listed dimensions are 15.752 × 7.433 cm, with thickness varying by color, and its listed weight is 187g or 194g depending on color. The cited comparison does not establish Reno 16 body dimensions or weight. If size is decisive, compare the exact local model’s dimensions and handle it if possible; grip, width, weight distribution, and case choice affect comfort.

Which camera setup fits your use?

91mobiles lists the Reno 16 with 50MP main, 50MP ultra-wide, 50MP 3.5× telephoto, and 50MP front cameras. It lists the V70 Elite with a 50MP main, 8MP ultra-wide, 50MP 3× telephoto, and 50MP front camera. On those specifications, the Reno 16 offers higher listed ultra-wide resolution and slightly longer telephoto reach. Resolution and optical-zoom figures alone do not determine detail, color, low-light results, stabilization, or which images you will prefer.

The V70 Elite emphasizes ZEISS-branded imaging; vivo’s official store highlights a 50MP ZEISS night telephoto camera and 4K 60fps video with zoom clarity. OPPO’s Reno 16 announcement describes a 50MP ultra-wide selfie camera with a 100-degree field of view, plus 4K Auto Straighten Video, Dual View Video 2.0, and editing tools. These are manufacturer-described features, not independent evaluations. 91mobiles also describes ZEISS portrait focal-length options for vivo.

If you create videos with the rear camera and want to monitor framing, OPPO says its Bubble accessory works with Reno16-series devices for rear-camera monitoring and remote shutter use. It requires compatible mounting hardware, such as a suitable case or magnetic ring; confirm exact device support and local availability before relying on it.

Which phone has the stronger listed performance hardware?

The V70 Elite has the stronger listed processor and storage combination in the cited comparison: Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 and UFS 4.1, against the Reno 16’s Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 and UFS 3.1. vivo India lists LPDDR5X RAM for the Elite. These specifications give the V70 Elite the stronger hardware case for demanding workloads, but actual performance also depends on the workload, cooling, and software.

91mobiles reported AnTuTu scores of 1,815,619 for the V70 Elite and 1,457,989 for the Reno 16 5G in its 2026 comparison. These are that publisher’s benchmark results, not independently run results here. A benchmark score is a snapshot under a particular test setup; it does not by itself predict how responsive a phone will feel in every app or over time.

What about battery capacity, runtime, and charging?

vivo India lists a 6,500mAh typical battery and 90W charging for the V70 Elite. OPPO’s June 25, 2026 global announcement gives the Reno 16’s highest-capacity version up to 6,700mAh typical and 6,490mAh rated, and specifies 80W SUPERVOOC charging. OPPO warns that battery capacity and charging specifications vary by market, so confirm the exact regional SKU rather than assuming those figures apply to every Reno 16.

91mobiles reported PCMark battery-test results of 23.8 hours for the Reno 16 5G and 18.3 hours for the V70 Elite. The publisher describes the test as measuring battery use from 100% to 20%. These are results under that publisher’s test protocol, not a guarantee of everyday screen time: network conditions, brightness, apps, signal strength, and settings can change runtime.

The V70 Elite’s listed 90W rate is higher than OPPO’s announced 80W figure, but charging speed depends on the exact local phone and a compatible charger. Check what is included with the specific regional model before assuming a charger is in the box.

What to verify before buying

The detailed price and comparison figures above concern India-market devices, while OPPO’s announcement covers the global Reno16 series and cautions that regional specifications vary. vivo’s cited specifications are from its India product information. Do not assume a phone sold in another country has the same battery, charging, network support, included accessories, or configuration.

  • Confirm the exact model number, RAM and storage configuration, and network-band compatibility for your country and carrier.
  • Check current local pricing, availability, software policy, and whether the charger is included.
  • Confirm regional battery, charging, water-resistance, and camera specifications for the SKU you intend to buy.

OPPO’s announcement says the Reno 16 series has IP68, IP69, and IP69K ratings, but that is a series-level claim; verify which ratings apply to your particular regional model. vivo India lists IP68 and IP69 for the V70 Elite. Do not assume ratings or configurations transfer across variants or markets.
