The OPPO Find X9 and Xiaomi 17T share a 6.59-inch display size and up-to-120Hz refresh rate, but differ in chipset, camera layout, battery capacity, and price. In a Spain retailer snapshot checked on 2 October 2026, the Find X9 was listed at €869 and the Xiaomi 17T at €483—a €386 gap. That is a dated retailer comparison, not a universal list-price difference. Which is the better buy depends on your market, storage tier, and whether the Find X9’s hardware is worth the premium to you.

How the display and chipset differences matter
Display
Both official specification references list a 6.59-inch screen with a refresh rate up to 120Hz. OPPO’s China page identifies a flexible AMOLED panel at 2760 × 1256, while Xiaomi’s Global page lists AMOLED at 2756 × 1268. The measurements are close, but the sources do not establish a direct brightness or display-quality winner.

Chipset
OPPO names the Dimensity 9500 and Xiaomi the Dimensity 8500-Ultra. Those model names establish that the phones use different chipsets; they do not, on their own, demonstrate how much faster one phone is in everyday use or under sustained workloads. No comparable benchmark or hands-on test is available here to support a performance ranking.
Camera hardware: shorter telephoto reach or 5x periscope?
The Find X9’s listed rear setup consists of three 50MP cameras—wide, ultra-wide, and telephoto—plus a color sensor. OPPO lists the telephoto at a 73mm-equivalent focal length and up to 3x optical zoom. This layout gives the published specifications a dedicated telephoto with a shorter reach than Xiaomi’s.

Xiaomi lists a 50MP main camera, a 50MP periscope telephoto at 115mm equivalent, and a 12MP ultra-wide. Xiaomi calls the telephoto 5x optical zoom and describes it on its Global product page as a “Leica 5x periscope telephoto.” That is Xiaomi’s product description, not an independent image-quality assessment.
These focal-length and zoom figures help explain the different framing options: Xiaomi’s listed telephoto is aimed at a tighter view, while OPPO’s is shorter. Megapixel counts, sensor labels, and optical-zoom claims do not establish which phone produces better photos. Regional hardware may also vary.

Battery capacity, charging, and resistance ratings
OPPO’s global announcement describes a battery above 7000mAh. Xiaomi specifies a 6500mAh typical silicon-carbon battery and 67W HyperCharge. Xiaomi says the adapter is not included in the box on its Global specification page; check the package for your country and seller before assuming an adapter is supplied. Capacity figures alone do not establish comparative battery life, and no head-to-head endurance test is available here.
OPPO’s global material describes IP66, IP68, and IP69 ratings for the Find X9 Series. Xiaomi lists IP68 and notes laboratory conditions and limitations on its Global page. These ratings are not a guarantee against every kind of water or dust exposure; follow each manufacturer’s stated conditions rather than treating either phone as waterproof.

Price difference: a Spain snapshot, not a global MSRP
EligeMovil reported Spain prices of €869 for the OPPO Find X9 and €483 for the Xiaomi 17T, checked on 2 October 2026. Subtracting those observed prices gives a €386 difference. The figures are retailer observations from one market and date, not guaranteed current prices or official global list prices. OPPO says price and configuration vary by region.

Which phone should you buy?
Choose the OPPO Find X9 if
- You want the Find X9’s listed three 50MP rear cameras and 73mm-equivalent, up-to-3x optical telephoto layout.
- The Dimensity 9500 and battery capacity above 7000mAh, as stated in OPPO’s global announcement, are priorities—but remember that these published specifications do not prove a specific performance or endurance advantage in real use.
- You are considering a listed 16GB + 512GB configuration; OPPO’s global announcement includes it, while Xiaomi’s Global page lists up to 12GB + 512GB.
Choose the Xiaomi 17T if
- You want the listed 115mm-equivalent, 5x optical periscope telephoto for tighter framing.
- The 6500mAh typical battery, 67W HyperCharge, and the Global-listed 12GB + 256GB or 12GB + 512GB configurations fit your needs.
- Your local, matched listings show a meaningful price saving over the Find X9. The Spain snapshot suggests a lower Xiaomi price, but it does not predict prices in other countries or on another date.
Before buying either model, confirm the local model’s storage, included charger, warranty, network bands, price, and water-resistance terms. OPPO’s cited detailed specification page is for China, while Xiaomi’s is Global; country-specific configurations and accessories may differ.
