The OPPO Find X9 Ultra and Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra suit different priorities: OPPO is a conventional flagship built around long-range camera hardware, while Samsung is a book-style foldable designed to give you an 8-inch inner display and a larger workspace. Choose between them mainly by deciding whether camera reach and charging or a foldable screen and multitasking matter more.
At a glance: what separates these phones?

These are manufacturer specifications and reported launch prices, not results from a direct comparison test or current retailer checks. Display dimensions and Samsung launch pricing are reported by TechRadar; OPPO’s specifications and India price come from OPPO India and its launch announcement. Samsung’s official announcement describes the Fold8 Ultra’s core features and rollout in its launch release.
Which design and display fit your use?
Choose OPPO for a conventional phone shape
The Find X9 Ultra has one 6.82-inch display and does not fold open into a tablet-like workspace. OPPO India lists a QHD+ ProXDR AMOLED panel with a 144Hz refresh rate. That makes it the more straightforward fit if you prefer a single-screen phone and do not need an expansive inner display for documents, split-screen apps, or viewing content on a larger panel.

Choose Samsung for the foldable workspace
The Fold8 Ultra opens to an 8-inch inner display, with a cover display available when the phone is folded. Samsung positions the large screen around multitasking, content creation, and foldable viewing. TechRadar reports a 6.5-inch 1080×2520 cover AMOLED and an 8.0-inch 2256×2504 inner AMOLED, both at 120Hz, and a weight of 215g. The larger inner screen is a real form-factor advantage for users who will use it; it is not automatically better for someone who mostly wants a conventional handset.

Which has the more capable camera hardware?
OPPO: long optical reach and multiple high-resolution cameras
OPPO publishes a 200MP main camera, a 200MP 3x telephoto, a 50MP 10x optical telephoto, a 50MP ultra-wide, and a True Color camera. Its global launch material highlights the 10x optical telephoto and two 200MP cameras. OPPO India also lists a 50MP front camera and a 14mm–460mm focal range. On published camera specifications alone, OPPO is the more compelling choice for someone who values a dedicated long-range optical zoom camera.
Samsung: a high-resolution main camera in a foldable
Samsung specifies a 200MP main camera with HDR support and a 50MP ultra-wide camera. Its launch positioning gives equal prominence to the foldable screen and to content creation, rather than presenting a 10x optical telephoto camera as a feature. The available specifications do not establish a directly comparable full camera setup for every lens or prove which phone takes better photos.

Video capabilities and real-world quality
OPPO India lists 4K recording at 60fps, 120fps Dolby Vision HDR, and 8K recording at 30fps, as well as O-Log2, ACES, and 3D LUT workflows. These are manufacturer-published modes and workflow features; they do not by themselves establish image quality, stabilization, heat behavior, or recording limits in practice. No direct head-to-head camera or video testing is available here, so choose OPPO for its published zoom and video toolkit rather than a claim that its results are proven superior.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors2Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches3Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsBattery, charging, and performance
OPPO India lists a 7,050mAh battery, 100W SUPERVOOC wired charging, and 50W AIRVOOC wireless charging. Samsung lists a 5,000mAh battery. These capacities are specifications, not measured endurance: screen size, software, network use, and workload affect battery life, and there is no direct battery test here to establish which lasts longer in ordinary use.

OPPO India names the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset. The cited Samsung specifications do not state a chipset, so this comparison cannot establish a processor advantage or a real-world performance winner. The available Samsung launch information likewise does not give a comparable charging figure.

The available figures are not a like-for-like price comparison. OPPO India announced INR 169,999 for the Find X9 Ultra with 12GB of memory and 512GB of storage; sales began May 26, 2026 through OPPO’s store, Flipkart, Amazon, and retail outlets. That is an India launch price, not a verified current offer.

TechRadar reported 256GB Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra launch prices of $2,099.99 in the US, £1,899 in the UK, and AU$2,999 in Australia; higher storage tiers cost more. Those are reported launch prices, not confirmed live offers. Because the OPPO figure is for India and 512GB while Samsung’s figures cover three different countries and 256GB, subtracting them or presenting one universal price gap would be misleading.

Which one should you buy?
- Choose the OPPO Find X9 Ultra if you want a conventional flagship and prioritize the published 10x optical telephoto, multiple high-resolution rear cameras, large stated battery capacity, or fast wired and wireless charging.
- Choose the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra if the 8-inch inner screen, foldable viewing, and a larger multitasking workspace are more valuable to you than a conventional phone shape.
- Do not choose solely by a claimed camera, battery-life, or performance winner. The published specifications show different hardware priorities, but there is no direct comparative testing here to establish real-world superiority.
