There is no verified winner in the OPPO Find X8s–iPhone 16 Pro Max bezel comparison. In a March 2025 teaser, OPPO reportedly promoted the Find X8s with an incomplete “1.xx mm” figure, but the exact Find X8s measurement was not disclosed. A 1.38 mm value was reported as a rumor; set beside Yahoo Tech’s approximately 1.15 mm figure for the iPhone, it would make the OPPO claim look doubtful if both numbers were accurate and measured the same way. Neither condition is established.
What OPPO claimed in the Find X8s teaser
On March 17, 2025, Notebookcheck reported that OPPO Find series product manager Zhou Yibao had shared a side-by-side teaser image of the Find X8s and iPhone 16 Pro Max. The image relayed a bezel figure as “1.xx mm,” rather than giving a complete, verifiable measurement. Notebookcheck said the OPPO phone appeared to have slimmer borders in the image, while noting that OPPO had not disclosed the exact figure. Notebookcheck’s March 17 report therefore documents a teaser and an apparent visual comparison—not a confirmed measurement contest.
Why the 1.38 mm rumor does not settle it
Yahoo Tech reported on March 19, 2025, that a 1.38 mm bezel measurement for the Find X8s was rumored, attributing that figure to Phone Arena. Yahoo Tech compared it with an approximately 1.15 mm figure for the iPhone 16 Pro Max and reasoned that OPPO’s claim would be contradicted if both values were right. The Find X8s number was not presented as an official OPPO specification, and the iPhone figure is also reported rather than independently validated here. Yahoo Tech’s report supports a conditional comparison, not a definitive verdict.

For a fair comparison, the figures would need to refer to the same part of the display and be measured using a consistent method. The available reports do not establish that. A difference between two attributed numbers, on its own, cannot prove which phone has thinner bezels.

What the side-by-side image can—and cannot—show
A product image can make one phone’s borders look narrower, as Notebookcheck observed, but perspective, image scaling, display content, and the way the phones are positioned can affect what a viewer sees. Without the exact Find X8s specification and a disclosed, comparable measurement method, the teaser image is evidence of how OPPO presented the design, not an independent test.
Other Find X8s details were still expectations
The same prelaunch coverage described a 6.31-inch OLED screen, 1.5K resolution, and a 120 Hz refresh rate as expected or likely details. Those reports did not establish them as confirmed specifications. They also do not resolve the bezel dispute, which turns on the exact border measurement and how it was obtained.

Do Reno bezel figures apply to the Find X8s?
No. OPPO’s later figures refer to different phones and cannot verify the Find X8s teaser. OPPO Labs lists 93.8% for the Reno13 Pro and 93.4% for the Reno13; OPPO India’s June 2026 Reno16 release gives 1.6 mm bezels and a 93.4% screen-to-body ratio. These are model-specific claims, not measurements for the Find X8s. OPPO’s Reno13 series announcement and OPPO India’s Reno16 announcement identify the models those figures belong to.
