The OPPO F35 Pro 5G brings meaningful camera upgrades and an unusually large battery, but its launch-era India prices start at ₹45,999. Smartprix reviewer Mehtab Ansari found the battery and camera additions compelling; he also judged performance short of what the price suggests. Whether it is worth buying depends on how much you value endurance, stabilized photos and wide group selfies over price-to-performance and NFC.
What is the OPPO F35 Pro?
The India-market OPPO F35 Pro 5G is model CPH2829. OPPO lists three configurations: 6GB RAM with 128GB storage, 8GB with 128GB, and 8GB with 256GB. Its official specifications include a MediaTek Dimensity 7360 MAX processor, a 17.22cm AMOLED display, USB Type-C, Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.4. The listed software is ColorOS 16.5, but OPPO says OS information is for reference and may change. Reports disagree about the underlying Android version, so check the retail unit rather than relying on an unverified version label.
OPPO specifies a 2772×1272 FHD+ resolution and adaptive refresh rates up to 144Hz. Some launch and review coverage calls the panel “1.5K”; the resolution figure on OPPO’s specification page is the more precise description. The handset measures about 162.6 × 77.6 × 8.4mm and weighs about 210g.

Smartprix reported availability through OPPO’s channels, Amazon, Flipkart and offline retailers. Mint reported that the F35 series was unveiled on 5 October 2026 and would go on sale from 11 October 2026. Its ₹38,999 starting figure refers to the series’ base model, not the F35 Pro. See the Smartprix review, Gadgets360 launch report and Mint report for their respective launch coverage.
How good is the OPPO F35 Pro camera?
The rear camera setup is more versatile than a single-main-camera arrangement: a 50MP main camera with autofocus and dual-axis optical image stabilization (OIS), plus an 8MP ultra-wide camera with a 116-degree field of view. The front camera is 50MP, has autofocus and a 100-degree field of view, making it suited to group selfies where fitting more people into the frame matters. OPPO lists 4K recording at 30fps for both front and rear cameras. These are specifications, not a guarantee of image quality in every lighting condition.

- 256GB Storage, 8GB RAM, microSDXC
- Android 15, ColorOS 15, Mediatek Dimensity 6300 (6 nm), Octa-core (2x2.4 GHz Cortex-A76 & 6x2.0 GHz Cortex-A55)
- Rear: 50 MP, f/1.8, (wide), PDAF, Auxiliary lens, Front: 16 MP, f/2.4, (wide)
In his hands-on review, Mehtab Ansari praised the selfie camera, OIS, added ultra-wide camera and 4K recording. Those upgrades are the F35 Pro’s clearest case for buyers who take varied shots or value stabilization. The 50MP count alone does not establish that it will outperform another phone; the practical gain is the combination of a stabilized main camera, a wider rear option and broad front-camera framing. OPPO describes the front camera as an ultra-wide option for group selfies on its product page.

OPPO lists an 8000mAh typical battery capacity and a 7780mAh rated capacity; these are distinct figures, not interchangeable descriptions. Maximum supported charging is 80W SUPERVOOC. The specifications also list 44W UFCS support and compatibility with lower-wattage SUPERVOOC and other charging standards. That does not mean the included charger supports every standard, so check the India package and charger markings.

Smartprix reviewer Mehtab Ansari reported more than nine hours of screen-on time while using 5G with Jio in India. That was his result on a review unit in everyday use, including indoor, outdoor, commuting and daily-carry use—not a controlled estimate for all owners. His assessment was that battery life was an easy win. OPPO separately promotes battery longevity, but says its battery-health figures come from laboratory testing at 25 ± 2°C and actual results can vary with equipment, environment and usage. Those manufacturer claims should not be read as a real-world runtime guarantee.
What are the main drawbacks?
- Performance for the price: Ansari said performance improved over the previous model but was not fully commensurate with the F35 Pro’s price. This is the reviewer’s value judgment, not a benchmark result.
- No NFC: OPPO’s specification page confirms NFC is unsupported, so buyers who rely on NFC-based payments or accessories should account for that omission.
- Always-on display behavior: Ansari observed that the display was not continuously always on, despite the feature’s name.
- Price has to earn its premium: the camera additions and large battery are tangible priorities, but buyers focused on performance per rupee may find the reviewer’s concern relevant.
OPPO says its six-year smoothness protection applies to the 8GB+256GB version and above, while 128GB models are described as eligible for up to five years. These are manufacturer claims on the product page, not independent performance findings.

Is the OPPO F35 Pro worth buying?
The F35 Pro is most appealing if you specifically want a large-capacity battery, 80W charging, a stabilized main camera, an ultra-wide rear camera and a broad-angle selfie camera in one phone. The reviewer’s 9+ hours of screen-on time on 5G makes the endurance story promising, while remaining one person’s result rather than a prediction for every user.
