The OPPO F33 Pro 5G and TECNO POVA 8 Pro 5G make different trade-offs: OPPO lists a higher-capacity battery, faster charging and a 50MP autofocus front camera, while TECNO lists a larger, sharper, faster-refresh display and a higher-tier chipset on paper. OPPO’s official India launch prices were ₹37,999 for 8GB/128GB and ₹40,999 for 8GB/256GB. A 91mobiles comparison snapshot accessed 4 October 2026 showed retailer-linked prices of ₹39,999 for OPPO on Amazon and ₹49,999 for TECNO on Flipkart; those are dated listings, not guaranteed current offers.

Specifications are from OPPO’s India F33 Pro specifications, OPPO India’s launch announcement and TECNO’s POVA 8 Pro 5G product page. The manufacturers use different brightness categories, so their nit figures should not be treated as a like-for-like test.
How do the displays compare?
TECNO lists the larger and more detailed screen: 6.78 inches at 2644 × 1208 with a refresh rate up to 144Hz. OPPO’s 6.57-inch AMOLED has a 2372 × 1080 resolution and adaptive refresh up to 120Hz. On listed specifications, TECNO is the stronger fit if screen size, resolution or maximum refresh rate is your priority.
Brightness figures need more care. OPPO lists 1400 nits as typical HBM, while TECNO separately lists normal brightness, HBM and peak brightness. These are not the same measurement labels, and published specifications alone do not establish which phone is easier to view in a given real-world setting.

Which phone has the stronger camera setup?
Front cameras
OPPO lists a 50MP front camera with autofocus and a 100° field of view; TECNO lists a 13MP front camera. OPPO therefore has a clear on-paper resolution and field-of-view advantage, which may suit group selfies. Megapixel count and field of view do not by themselves prove better finished photos.
Rear cameras
TECNO’s listed rear setup pairs a 50MP main camera with optical image stabilization (OIS) and an 8MP ultrawide camera. OPPO lists a 50MP main camera and a 2MP monochrome/portrait camera. TECNO offers the more varied listed rear-camera arrangement, especially if an ultrawide lens matters; specifications alone do not establish image quality or low-light performance.

Performance: what the processor specifications tell you
TECNO names the Dimensity 7400 Ultimate 5G, built on a 4nm process and paired with a Mali-G615 MC2 GPU. OPPO specifies the Dimensity 6360 MAX, a 6nm chip with Mali-G57 MC2 graphics. TECNO’s named processor is the higher-tier option on paper, but that is not a substitute for comparable benchmarks or testing of everyday performance, gaming, heat or battery efficiency.

OPPO specifies a 7000mAh typical battery capacity (6830mAh rated) and support for up to 80W SUPERVOOC charging. TECNO lists 6500mAh and 45W charging. That gives OPPO the larger stated capacity and higher maximum wired-charging rating, but capacity and charging wattage do not establish actual runtime or charging time; usage, settings, network conditions and charger compatibility all matter. OPPO says box contents may vary by market, so check whether the required adapter is included with the exact SKU you buy.

Memory and storage: check the exact configuration
OPPO’s detailed India specifications page lists 8GB/128GB and 8GB/256GB configurations. Its launch announcement also has a 12GB/256GB line, so the sources do not agree on the full set of configurations. Verify the available SKU with the seller rather than assuming every listed combination is on sale.
TECNO lists 256GB or 512GB of storage. Its 16GB and 24GB RAM figures include extended RAM: the respective listings combine 8GB or 12GB of physical RAM with an additional 8GB or 12GB of software-extended memory. Extended RAM is not the same as installed physical RAM.

Price difference in India
OPPO India announced the F33 Pro 5G on 15 April 2026 with launch prices of ₹37,999 for 8GB/128GB and ₹40,999 for 8GB/256GB. OPPO said sales would begin on 23 April 2026 through offline stores, OPPO E-Store, Flipkart and Amazon; its announcement also mentioned promotional discounts and exchange offers, so launch prices do not guarantee the final amount paid.

Software and connectivity to consider
OPPO lists ColorOS 16, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.4 and India-specific 5G bands; its specifications page says NFC and eSIM are unsupported. TECNO lists HiOS 16 based on Android 16, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4 and NFC. If a particular network band or feature is essential, confirm support for your carrier and exact regional model before purchase.
Which phone should you choose?
- Choose OPPO on specifications if the 50MP autofocus front camera, 100° field of view, larger stated battery capacity or up-to-80W charging best matches your priorities.
- Choose TECNO on specifications if you prefer the larger 144Hz display, the listed 50MP OIS main plus 8MP ultrawide camera arrangement, or the Dimensity 7400 Ultimate chipset.
- Make price the deciding factor only after checking live listings. The dated retailer snapshot shows a difference, but it does not establish today’s prices or a like-for-like configuration comparison.
These are specification-based distinctions, not claims from independent camera, battery, durability or performance testing.
