The OPPO F31 Pro 5G is the larger-screen, higher-capacity-battery option; the vivo X300 FE is more compact and lists a higher-tier chipset plus dedicated telephoto and ultra-wide cameras. OPPO’s 2025 India launch prices were far lower than the ₹79,999 launch price reported for the vivo, but those are not same-date current quotes. The comparison below uses India specifications and clearly labels price context.

How the differences matter
Display size and portability
OPPO’s 6.5-inch panel gives more screen area, while the vivo’s 6.31-inch size makes it the more compact choice on paper. vivo also specifies the panel resolution—2640 × 1216—whereas the cited OPPO launch specification establishes its size and refresh rate. The figures do not by themselves establish which screen looks better in use.

The vivo lists a Snapdragon 8 Gen 5, compared with OPPO’s Dimensity 7300-Energy. By product positioning, vivo’s listed chipset is from the higher performance tier; this is a specification-based assessment, not a result from comparative benchmarks or gaming tests.

- Compatible with Oppo F31 Pro 5G Phone Case Cover
- This phone case features a dual-stand design with a magnetic ring, compatible with magnetic car mounts.
- Supports 360° rotation and 90° support. The foldable multi-functional stand accommodates both landscape and portrait modes. The dual-stand design frees your hands for greater convenience.

- Precision cutouts ensure all ports, buttons, and camera functions remain fully accessible. Raised bezels around the screen and camera keep these components elevated from surfaces, providing all-around protection.
Camera flexibility
The vivo has a dedicated 3× optical telephoto and an ultra-wide camera alongside its main camera. OPPO lists a main camera and a 2 MP portrait camera. That gives vivo more focal-length options on paper, but camera quality cannot be determined from resolution or camera count alone. The vivo’s front camera is 50 MP with autofocus; OPPO lists a 32 MP front camera, which likewise does not guarantee a particular image-quality advantage.
Battery capacity and charging
OPPO lists 7000 mAh; vivo specifies 6500 mAh typical and 6350 mAh minimum/rated. OPPO therefore has 500 mAh more stated typical capacity than vivo’s typical figure. These capacities do not establish real-world battery life: usage and testing conditions matter. Likewise, the listed 80 W and 90 W charging ratings do not establish how long either phone takes to charge.

Durability and storage
Both phones list high ingress-protection ratings: OPPO specifies IP66, IP68 and IP69, while vivo specifies IP68 and IP69. Those ratings are not a promise against every kind of liquid damage. For storage, vivo’s listed top configuration is 12+512 GB, while OPPO lists up to 12+256 GB. Compare the same memory configuration when judging value.

The vivo figure is reported by Android Central’s review, not presented here as a current official vivo listing. The OPPO launch announcement supplies the F31 prices. Do not subtract these launch figures and call the result a current price gap: the prices have different source contexts and may not reflect today’s listings. Retailer observations can vary by seller and configuration; 91mobiles’ comparison page also showed differing marketplace observations when accessed. For a buying decision, check both phones at the same time, for the closest matching memory configuration, seller and offer.
Which phone fits your priorities?
- Choose the OPPO F31 Pro 5G if you want a larger 6.5-inch screen, the higher stated battery capacity, or the lower historical India launch price as a starting point for checking current listings.
- Choose the vivo X300 FE if you prefer a more compact phone, want the higher-tier chipset by stated product positioning, or value dedicated telephoto and ultra-wide cameras and a listed 12+512 GB option.
- Compare them in person or wait for independent testing if your decision depends on display quality, actual speed, camera output, battery endurance or charging time; specifications alone do not settle those questions.
Accessory option for vivo X300 FE
vivo lists compatibility with the ZEISS Telephoto Extender Gen 2, which it says offers 200 mm equivalent reach. It is sold separately, so it is an additional purchase rather than an included phone feature; check local availability and price before factoring it into the cost.
