The OPPO Enco Air5 is worth considering if you want adjustable noise cancellation, customizable sound and long stated battery life—but the battery estimate drops sharply when ANC is on, and OPPO’s headline noise-reduction figure is a lab maximum, not a promise of silence. Check your device’s feature compatibility and the current price in your country before buying.
What the OPPO Enco Air5 offers
OPPO’s global specification identifies the Enco Air5 as model ETEP1. It combines a 12 mm dynamic driver with Bluetooth 6.1 and supports AAC and SBC codecs. OPPO lists a 10 m Bluetooth range, USB-C charging, 62 mAh batteries in the earbuds and a 530 mAh battery in the case. Each earbud weighs 4.3 g ± 0.3 g; the listed combined weight of the earbuds and case is 43.5 g ± 2 g. OPPO’s global specifications provide these figures.
The driver size and Bluetooth version do not mean the earbuds support high-resolution audio codecs: OPPO lists AAC and SBC. If codec choice is important to you, treat that limitation as a purchasing factor rather than assuming the hardware specifications imply broader codec support.

OPPO claims up to 52 dB of noise reduction across a 5,000 Hz range. That is a manufacturer maximum, not an independent measurement or a guarantee of how much noise every listener will perceive as reduced. Ear fit and the sound around you affect the result. OPPO describes a dual-feed ANC architecture and three microphones per earbud in its launch announcement.

In a hands-on review updated July 4, 2026, Smartprix’s reviewer said ANC reduced steady sounds including fans, air conditioners, office chatter and traffic. The reviewer also found transparency adequate for quick conversations and described high, moderate, low and smart ANC modes. OPPO also claims AI-assisted call-noise reduction and clear calls in wind up to 20 km/h in its launch announcement. These are manufacturer claims; the available independent review does not establish a standardized microphone or wind test.

Battery life: ANC makes a major difference
OPPO’s global battery estimates are laboratory figures using AAC, default settings and 50% volume. The company says actual playback may vary. Its figures show why it is important to distinguish ANC-on from ANC-off claims:

These estimates come from OPPO’s specifications; they are not independent real-world measurements. If you commonly leave ANC on for commuting or work, the relevant headline is up to 6.5 hours from the earbuds and up to 27 hours with the case, under OPPO’s stated conditions.

OPPO lists about 55 minutes to charge the earbuds and about 90 minutes to charge the earbuds and case. It says those times were tested in its lab at 25°C using an OPPO standard charger. Gadgets360 reports OPPO’s claim that a 10-minute charge can provide up to 11 hours of playback with the case, but the report does not establish that this short-charge figure applies with ANC enabled. Gadgets360’s India launch report gives the quick-charge claim.
Sound, controls and software
OPPO calls the 12 mm unit a Dynamic Bass Driver. Smartprix’s reviewer described the tuning as controlled rather than excessively bass-heavy and reported access to a 10-band equalizer, preferring the Ultimate Sound preset. That preference is personal, not a universal recommendation. The reviewer also noted occasional touch-control issues, with a firmer tap sometimes needed, and reported dual-device connectivity.

Feature access depends on the phone and software version. OPPO says users on ColorOS 12.0 or later can configure listed features in Bluetooth settings. Its product page also lists HeyMelody support on Android 8.0 or later and iOS 13.2 or later. AI Translation is narrower: OPPO says it is available on select OPPO devices running ColorOS 15.0.1 or later. Check OPPO’s feature and compatibility information for your exact device; do not assume that every control or translation feature works on every Android or iPhone model.

Fit, water resistance and durability
Smartprix’s reviewer described the earbuds as lightweight and comfortable during a week of use. That experience cannot predict fit for every ear, so prioritize a secure seal and comfort; both affect day-to-day listening and perceived noise cancellation.

The IP55 rating applies to the earbuds, not the charging case. OPPO says not to immerse the earbuds, advises drying them before charging, and cautions against close-range exercise use due to sweat. It also says immersion damage is not covered by warranty. This is limited protection, not a waterproof rating. OPPO’s product information explains the usage caveats.
OPPO says the product received TÜV Rheinland Battery Health Certification and claims at least 80% battery health after 1,000 charging cycles. This is OPPO’s stated certification-related claim, not a guarantee that every user’s battery will retain a particular capacity after a fixed number of years. The launch announcement provides the claim.
Price and availability depend on your market
OPPO’s global launch announcement does not set one worldwide price and directs customers to local announcements. In India, Gadgets360 reported a price of ₹3,299 and a limited-period launch offer of ₹3,099; its report was updated July 2, 2026. Smartprix’s review, updated July 4, 2026, also reported ₹3,299. These are dated India reports, not assurances of today’s price or stock. Confirm the current price, available color and seller in your market before ordering. Color names also vary by market: OPPO’s launch announcement lists Glossy White and Midnight Black globally, while Indian coverage reports Lavender Purple and Midnight Black.
What independent reviewers found
Smartprix’s reviewer used the earbuds for music, calls, workouts and commuting over a week, and gave them an editorial score of 8.7/10. The review praised sound tuning, ANC for the price, EQ customization, fit, dual-device connectivity, battery life and software; it listed the lack of high-resolution codec support and occasional need for a firmer touch-control tap as drawbacks. The score is Smartprix’s judgment, not an objective ranking or a standardized performance result. Smartprix’s review has its full account.
