Press Home on your Samsung TV remote, open Internet or Web Browser in the Smart Hub interface, then select the address field to enter a website. The exact menu path depends on your TV model and region, and Smart Hub must be set up with the TV connected to the internet.
Find and open the browser
- Make sure the TV is connected to the internet and Smart Hub is configured. Samsung’s Germany support guidance identifies both as prerequisites for using its QLED TV browser: Samsung Germany: using the internet browser on a QLED Smart TV.
- Press Home to open the Smart Hub screen. Look for Internet or Web Browser. On Samsung Germany’s example route, it is under Media; Samsung Hong Kong gives a different route using the Smart TV button followed by Web Browser. These are regional examples, not universal instructions.
- Select the browser app. Choose its address or URL field, enter the website address, and press Enter. Samsung’s Hong Kong guide describes entering a website and confirming with Enter: Samsung Hong Kong: how to open a website in a Smart TV.
Menu names and sequences vary by model and region. If neither browser label appears, search the TV’s Home or Apps interface, then check the manual for the exact model or contact Samsung support.
Navigate with the remote—or add a keyboard
For basic browsing, use the remote’s directional controls to move through the page and press Enter to select an item. Samsung describes the directional keys as moving the pointer and scrolling, with Enter acting like a mouse click.

Why a website may not work as expected
A TV browser’s feature support depends on the web engine associated with that TV generation. Samsung Developer’s model-year specifications list these engines; Samsung cautions that support varies with the engine, so a website or feature that works on a newer TV may not behave the same way on an older one.

Older TVs can be slower or have compatibility limits
Samsung’s troubleshooting entry for a 2011 TV says its built-in browser supports HTML but not every website, and notes that some pages may load or respond slowly to the remote. That guidance is specific to the older model discussed; it should not be assumed to describe every Samsung TV. See Samsung Canada’s browser troubleshooting guidance.
Do you need PC on TV or Workspace?
No. Opening an ordinary website uses the TV’s browser; PC on TV, screen sharing, DeX, and Microsoft 365 or Workspace are separate capabilities, with availability depending on the TV model and software. Some workflows use a browser or cloud services, but they are not prerequisites for visiting a web page. Samsung describes these separately in its guidance for PC on TV and Workspace.
