The OnePlus Nord CE 5 5G has the stronger reported specification package: its listed processor, memory, AMOLED display, camera setup and charging are ahead of the OnePlus N6x 5G. The N6x is listed at a lower price in India, but conflicting Nord CE 5 price snapshots mean there is no dependable price difference to quote. Several N6x specifications also come from a comparison site, not a full manufacturer spec sheet, so verify the exact local model and seller before buying.
OnePlus Nord CE 5 5G vs OnePlus N6x 5G: at a glance
The table below reflects figures reported by 91mobiles, a secondary comparison source. Treat its N6x hardware and software details as reported listings rather than independently confirmed manufacturer specifications. Battery figures require particular care because the listed Nord CE 5 capacity differs from an official regional OnePlus page.
| Specification | OnePlus Nord CE 5 5G | OnePlus N6x 5G |
|---|---|---|
| Processor | MediaTek Dimensity 8350 Apex | MediaTek Dimensity 6360 Apex |
| RAM | 8 GB or 12 GB | 4 GB |

| Software and updates | Android 15; four years of OS updates and six years of security updates, as reported by 91mobiles | Android 16; two years of OS updates and three years of security updates, as reported by 91mobiles |

On the reported specifications, the Nord CE 5 is the more capable choice for demanding apps and keeping several apps open: it is listed with the Dimensity 8350 Apex and 8 GB or 12 GB of RAM, while the N6x is listed with the Dimensity 6360 Apex and 4 GB. These are specification-based comparisons, not independent performance test results. Actual performance also depends on software, configuration and workload.
#1 Best Overall
- Large 5000mAh Battery: Provides long-lasting power for all-day use
- 6.49 Inch Full HD+ Display: Features a 90Hz refresh rate for smooth scrolling and vivid visuals
- Octa-Core Processor: Runs at lightning-fast speeds for seamless multitasking
- Triple Camera System: Includes 13MP main, 2MP macro, and 2MP depth lenses for crisp, detailed photos
- 5G Capable: Connects to the fastest network speeds for lightning-fast downloads and streaming
Which display is better for text and video?
The N6x’s listed screen is fractionally larger diagonally at 6.8 inches versus 6.77 inches, and both listings specify a 120 Hz refresh rate. The Nord CE 5’s FHD+ AMOLED panel has the advantage in resolution and panel type over the N6x’s HD+ IPS LCD. That makes the Nord CE 5 the more promising option for sharper text and richer-looking video based on the listed display specifications; it does not establish a measured brightness or color-quality advantage.
How do their cameras compare?
91mobiles lists a 50 MP main camera and an 8 MP ultrawide on the Nord CE 5, plus a 16 MP front camera. For the N6x, it lists a 13 MP rear camera and a 5 MP front camera. The Nord CE 5 therefore offers more reported camera options and higher megapixel counts, but megapixels alone cannot predict photo quality. Sensor size, image processing, lens quality and shooting conditions matter, and the listing does not provide comparative photo tests.

Battery capacity and charging: verify the Nord CE 5 variant
Battery specifications are not consistent across the available sources. 91mobiles lists the Nord CE 5 at 7,100 mAh with 80 W charging and the N6x at 7,000 mAh with 15 W charging. However, OnePlus’s Singapore Nord CE 5 5G specifications page lists a 5,200 mAh battery. These figures may reflect regional or configuration differences, but the available information does not settle the reason for the discrepancy. Confirm the capacity and charging support for the exact market variant before relying on either number.

What is the price difference in India?
There is no reliable single price gap to calculate from the available 91mobiles listings. Both indexed versions show ₹20,999 for the N6x, but one lists the Nord CE 5 at ₹22,500 while another shows ₹34,780 and marks it out of stock. These are comparison-site snapshots, not confirmed live seller prices. Check current India listings for the same RAM and storage configuration, stock status, seller and warranty before deciding which is better value; no other market’s price is established here.

Which one should you choose?
Choose the Nord CE 5 if specifications are your priority
- You want the stronger processor and more listed RAM for heavier apps or multitasking.
- You prefer the higher-resolution AMOLED display.
- You value the listed ultrawide rear camera and faster charging, after verifying the market-specific battery and charging specifications.
Consider the N6x if its verified local price is substantially lower
- You are comfortable with the reported 4 GB RAM, HD+ LCD and less capable listed camera configuration.
- The phone’s actual seller price, stock, warranty and configuration make the savings worthwhile to you.
OnePlus Community confirms the N6x name and an India launch/update presence, including the CPH2971 device code, but the detailed hardware figures above come from 91mobiles rather than a full OnePlus specification sheet. See the OnePlus N6x launch thread and OnePlus N6x India software update reference. Also make sure listings refer to the 2025 Nord CE 5 5G, not the distinct 2021 Nord CE 5G: OnePlus’s older India announcement and Singapore specifications refer to that earlier handset.
