The OnePlus Nord CE 5 5G is the stronger fit if you want a sharper AMOLED screen, an ultrawide rear camera and a clearly stated long software-support commitment. The OnePlus N6 5G instead offers a larger listed battery, but pairs it with a lower-resolution LCD and a more limited rear-camera setup. The right choice depends on which trade-off matters more—and on the live price for the exact memory and storage configuration.

The Nord CE 5 has the higher-resolution display and more flexible rear-camera hardware in the checked comparison. The N6 has the larger stated battery. Display: sharper AMOLED or slightly larger LCD
The N6’s listed screen is nominally 0.03 inches larger, but the Nord CE 5 has the more capable panel on the available specifications: AMOLED rather than LCD, with 1080 × 2392 resolution instead of the N6’s listed 720 × 1570. Both are listed at 120Hz. If screen type and detail matter more than a marginal size difference, the specifications favor the Nord CE 5.

The Nord CE 5 uses the MediaTek Dimensity 8350 Apex, while the N6 uses the Dimensity 6360 Apex. The chipset names—and the 91mobiles benchmark snapshot—favor the Nord CE 5 for performance. A benchmark snapshot is not a guarantee for every app or workload, so it should not be treated as a prediction of gaming frame rates or day-to-day speed in every situation.

Cameras: the Nord CE 5 adds an ultrawide option
The Nord CE 5’s rear setup combines a 50MP Sony LYT-600 main camera with optical image stabilization (OIS) and an 8MP ultrawide camera, according to OnePlus. The comparison page lists a 50MP main camera for the N6 and no ultrawide. That gives the Nord CE 5 an extra framing option for wider scenes; megapixel counts alone do not establish which phone takes better-looking photos.
The same comparison lists a 16MP front camera on the Nord CE 5 and an 8MP front camera on the N6. Those are resolution figures, not a complete measure of selfie quality.

The N6 therefore has the higher stated capacity, while the Nord CE 5 has the faster rated charging. Capacity and charging figures do not establish how long either phone will last in a particular person’s use.

OnePlus states that the Nord CE 5 is eligible for four Android OS version updates and six years of security updates via OTA. For the N6, OnePlus’s India product page names OxygenOS 16, while 91mobiles lists two years of OS updates and three years of security updates. Price difference: listings are not a like-for-like guarantee
Prices are retailer and comparison snapshots, not official fixed prices. On the 91mobiles comparison page accessed October 4, 2026, the Nord CE 5 was shown at ₹22,500 and marked “Out of Stock,” while the N6 was listed at ₹24,999 at Amazon. The displayed difference is ₹2,499, but the stock status and potentially different configurations make that an unreliable like-for-like street-price comparison.
Smartprix showed ₹23,267 for a Nord CE 5 with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage and ₹24,999 for its listed N6 configuration; Smartprix said its product details were last updated September 27, 2026. On those displayed figures, the N6 is ₹1,732 more. Check the current price, availability and exact RAM/storage variant before buying; comparison pages show differing N6 configurations.

Which one should you buy?
Choose the Nord CE 5 if
- You prioritize a higher-resolution AMOLED display over the N6’s slightly larger listed screen.
- You want an ultrawide rear camera as well as a stabilized main camera.
- You value the four Android version updates and six years of security updates stated by OnePlus.
- The current price for the configuration you want makes sense compared with the N6.
Consider the N6 if
- The larger listed battery capacity is your leading hardware priority.
- You are comfortable with its lower-resolution LCD and the comparison’s listing of a main camera without an ultrawide.
- You have checked the exact N6 memory/storage version, live price and software-support terms that apply to your purchase.
In short, the Nord CE 5 is the more compelling specification choice for display, camera flexibility and stated software support. The N6’s clearest advantage in this comparison is its larger listed battery capacity, so it is the alternative to weigh if that matters more to you than screen resolution and the ultrawide camera.
