The OnePlus Nord CE 5 5G and Motorola Edge 70 Fusion trade advantages rather than producing a clear overall winner. The Nord CE 5 has the higher reported Geekbench multi-core score and faster listed wired charging; Motorola’s India model has a larger stated battery and a display rated for up to 144Hz. Price depends on country, storage configuration and retailer, so there is no reliable single global price difference.

What are the key differences?

Category OnePlus Nord CE 5 5G Motorola Edge 70 Fusion
Display 6.77-inch AMOLED, 2392 × 1080, 120Hz India listing: 6.8-inch Extreme AMOLED, 2772 × 1272, up to 144Hz
Processor MediaTek Dimensity 8350 Apex India listing: Snapdragon 7s Gen 4
Rear cameras 50MP OIS main, 8MP ultrawide India listing: 50MP OIS main, 13MP 120-degree ultrawide
Front camera 16MP India listing: 32MP
Battery and wired charging 5,200mAh; 80W India listing: 7,000mAh; 68W TurboPower
Software listed OxygenOS 15 based on Android 15 in TechRadar’s review Android 16 on Motorola’s India specifications page

Motorola’s listed specifications are specifically for its India model; confirm the local Edge 70 Fusion configuration before comparing it with a Nord CE 5 sold in another market. The listed battery capacities and refresh rates are specifications, not proof of longer real-world battery life or a visibly smoother experience in every app.

Which phone is faster?

On 91mobiles’ comparison page, the Nord CE 5 scored 4,092 and the Edge 70 Fusion 3,475 in Geekbench multi-core. That reported result favors OnePlus in this benchmark, but the cited page does not give enough test-method detail to turn the figures into a universal speed ranking. Processor names alone also do not establish how the phones compare in a particular game, app or sustained workload.

Choose based on the performance you care about, and look for testing of the exact regional models if demanding gaming or sustained performance is decisive. The benchmark figures are attributed to 91mobiles’ comparison.

How do their displays compare?

The Nord CE 5 is listed with a 6.77-inch, 2392 × 1080 AMOLED display at 120Hz. Motorola’s India specification page gives the Edge 70 Fusion a 6.8-inch, 2772 × 1272 “Extreme AMOLED” display with a refresh rate of up to 144Hz. On the published specifications, Motorola offers the higher maximum refresh rate and resolution, while the screen sizes are close.

“Up to 144Hz” is a maximum specification, not a guarantee that the display operates at that rate continuously. The sources establish the listed hardware, not a controlled comparison of brightness, color accuracy or outdoor readability. See Motorola’s India specifications and TechRadar’s Nord CE 5 review.

Which has the better battery and charging?

Motorola lists a 7,000mAh battery and 68W TurboPower charging for the India Edge 70 Fusion. TechRadar lists the Nord CE 5 at 5,200mAh with 80W wired charging. That makes Motorola’s listed battery capacity larger and OnePlus’s listed charging wattage higher; neither figure alone settles which phone lasts longer between charges or how long each takes to recharge in ordinary use.

In TechRadar’s Nord CE 5 streaming-loop test, six hours of 2K video playback at 50% brightness left 71% charge. The reviewer extrapolated a total runtime of roughly 20 hours and 40 minutes. This is one reviewer’s test and extrapolation, not a standardized head-to-head result against Motorola.

Motorola’s India support page claims “Up to 52 hours of battery life.” That is a manufacturer claim, not an independent measurement or a promise of that runtime for every user. The listed specifications and claim appear on Motorola’s India product page; TechRadar’s test details are in its OnePlus review.

What do the camera specifications tell you?

Both phones are listed with 50MP optically stabilized main cameras. TechRadar identifies the Nord CE 5’s main sensor as a Sony LYT-600 and lists an 8MP ultrawide and 16MP front camera. Motorola’s India page identifies a Sony LYTIA 710 main camera, a 13MP 120-degree ultrawide and a 32MP front camera.

Those figures describe hardware, not photo quality. Megapixel counts and sensor names do not show how the phones handle motion, low light, skin tones or video, and the available sources do not establish a controlled camera comparison. If camera quality is your deciding factor, compare sample photos and video from the exact local versions rather than choosing by megapixels alone. Sources: TechRadar and Motorola India.

What is the price difference?

There is no like-for-like global price difference in the available snapshots: the figures refer to different countries, configurations and types of pricing. UK list prices, a European price and India retailer listings should not be subtracted from one another. Check the price and stock for the same country and date, and match storage and RAM before deciding which is better value.

Market and source OnePlus Nord CE 5 5G Motorola Edge 70 Fusion
UK pricing reported by TechRadar and T3 in 2026 £299 for 128GB; £349 for 256GB, listed prices £379.99 UK RRP for 8GB/256GB, reported by T3
Europe pricing reported by T3 TechRadar’s cited UK list prices are not European prices €439.99, reported by T3
India snapshot displayed by 91mobiles in 2026 ₹22,500; out of stock on the comparison page ₹29,749 at Flipkart on the comparison page

The UK figures are not a same-configuration comparison: the Edge listing is for 8GB/256GB, while OnePlus figures cover two storage options and do not specify RAM in the cited price detail. The India figures are time-sensitive retailer snapshots, and the OnePlus listing was out of stock. Check current local availability, configuration and warranty before treating a listing as a purchase price.

  • Lean toward the Nord CE 5 if the higher reported Geekbench multi-core result or its listed 80W wired charging matters most, and its local price and configuration suit you.
  • Lean toward the Edge 70 Fusion if the India model’s listed 7,000mAh battery, up-to-144Hz display or higher-resolution ultrawide and front-camera hardware is more appealing.
  • Compare local listings before paying because the price snapshots do not establish a current, same-market price difference, and regional specifications can vary.

What to verify before buying

  • Confirm the exact country version, RAM and storage; Motorola’s cited specification page describes the India model.
  • Check current local price, stock and warranty for both phones at the same time.
  • Look for comparable battery and camera tests of the exact versions if endurance or image quality matters more than listed specifications.
  • Check the manufacturers’ current software-support commitments directly. The cited software listings—OxygenOS 15 based on Android 15 for the reviewed OnePlus and Android 16 on Motorola’s India page—do not establish how long either phone will receive updates.
