Choose the OnePlus Nord 6 if its larger stated battery, higher refresh-rate ceiling and longer listed software support matter most. Consider the Motorola Edge 70 Max for its sharper display, Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset and Qi2 magnetic wireless charging. In a 91mobiles listing snapshot accessed October 4, 2026, the Nord 6 was ₹44,499 and the Edge 70 Max was ₹53,199—a ₹8,700 gap, though another report gives a different Edge price. These are India-focused figures; confirm current prices and matching storage variants before buying.

Nord 6: the larger stated battery
OnePlus lists a 9000 mAh battery and 80W wired charging for the Nord 6. That is a larger stated capacity than Motorola’s figure, but capacity alone does not establish how long either phone lasts. Screen settings, network conditions, apps, temperature and usage affect endurance; compare independent tests using the same conditions if battery life is decisive.

Edge 70 Max: wired, Qi2 wireless and reverse charging
Motorola lists 7100 mAh typical capacity and 6890 mAh rated capacity, plus 90W wired charging. It also supports 25W Qi2 magnetic wireless charging. Motorola says the compatible Qi2 charger is sold separately, so factor in that extra purchase if wireless charging is part of your decision. Motorola’s support page lists 5W reverse wired charging; OnePlus lists 27W reverse charging for the Nord 6.
Display: resolution or refresh rate?
The Edge 70 Max has more listed pixels: its 1440 × 3168 resolution exceeds the Nord 6’s 2772 × 1272. The Nord, however, has the higher maximum refresh rate at 165 Hz versus the Edge’s up-to-144 Hz. A higher resolution can show more fine detail, while a higher refresh-rate ceiling can make supported motion appear smoother. Neither maximum guarantees that every app or activity uses that setting.
Motorola advertises a peak brightness of 7,000 nits in specific scenarios and says actual performance can vary with environmental conditions. Treat that as a manufacturer-qualified peak figure, not a brightness level guaranteed across the whole screen or ordinary use.

Performance: what the chip names do—and do not—tell you
The Nord 6 uses Snapdragon 8s Gen 4; Motorola lists Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 for the Edge 70 Max. The Edge’s listed platform is the higher tier by the names given, but those names alone do not establish which phone is faster in sustained gaming, stays cooler, or feels more responsive in everyday tasks. Those comparisons require like-for-like independent testing, including the exact phone variants and software.
OnePlus publishes some lab results under specified conditions, including tests using a 12 GB variant, particular game settings, set brightness and sound levels, and an ambient temperature of 25°C ± 1°C. The company says actual results vary. Those figures are not an independent head-to-head test against the Edge 70 Max.
Cameras: similar headline megapixels, different details
Both phones list a 50 MP main camera with optical image stabilization and a 32 MP front camera. The Nord 6 adds an 8 MP ultrawide camera and lists rear video recording up to 4K at 60 fps. Motorola identifies a Sony LYTIA 710 sensor for the Edge’s main camera, pairs its 8 MP ultrawide with macro capability, and says the front camera can record 4K video.

- 6.78 inches, AMOLED, 1B colors, 1272 x 2772 pixels
- 256GB Storage, 8GB RAM
- Android 16, Qualcomm SM7635-AC Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 (4 nm), Octa-core (1x2.7 GHz Cortex-A720 & 3x2.4 GHz Cortex-A720 & 4x1.8 GHz Cortex-A520)
- Rear: 50 MP, f/1.8, 27mm (wide), 1/2.88", 0.61µm, PDAF, OIS, Auxiliary lens, Front: 32 MP, f/2.0, 21mm (wide), 1/3.1", 0.7µm
These hardware details do not establish which phone takes better photos or video. Sensor processing, focus, exposure, stabilization and results across lighting conditions matter too; a fair camera verdict needs matched samples or a direct independent review.
Software support: stated update periods
OnePlus promises four Android OS updates and six years of security updates for the Nord 6. Motorola’s US support page lists up to three OS updates and five years of security updates through July 2031 for the Edge 70 Max. On those stated terms, the Nord has the longer support window. Confirm the policy for the specific market and model, and check how update delivery dates apply to your region.

There is a notable discrepancy in the available Edge price evidence: Android Central reported ₹59,999 for the Edge 70 Max in an article published July 17, 2026. That is a separate dated report, not the same price definition or necessarily the same configuration as the 91mobiles listing. Do not treat the two figures as a single fixed launch or street price. Quick Recap
Which one should you buy?
- Pick the OnePlus Nord 6 if you value its larger stated battery, 165 Hz refresh-rate ceiling, longer listed update support, or the lower price in the cited 91mobiles snapshot.
- Consider the Motorola Edge 70 Max if you prefer its higher-resolution display, the listed Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 platform, or Qi2 magnetic wireless charging and are comfortable buying a compatible charger separately.
