In India, Samsung’s Galaxy A27 5G starts ₹14,000 below the OnePlus Nord 6 at the manufacturers’ published prices reviewed in October 2026. Samsung has a fuller published specification sheet in the sources available here; OnePlus confirms the Nord 6’s 9,000 mAh battery and software-support terms, but not enough hardware details for a complete head-to-head comparison.
How much do the Nord 6 and Galaxy A27 5G cost in India?
At the lowest listed configurations, the Galaxy A27 5G is ₹14,000 cheaper. The like-for-like 8 GB RAM/256 GB storage comparison narrows the difference to ₹10,500.

Samsung’s launch announcement also described ₹3,000 bank/UPI cashback eligibility at launch. That was a launch offer, not a verified current discount; check the seller’s terms and checkout total before comparing effective prices.

Samsung’s global product announcement provides a broad Galaxy A27 5G specification list. The reviewed OnePlus pages establish fewer Nord 6 hardware details, so missing Nord specifications are marked as not established rather than inferred from other sources.

Does the Nord 6 battery mean longer battery life?
The Nord 6’s stated 9,000 mAh capacity is substantially higher on paper than the Galaxy A27 5G’s 5,000 mAh typical capacity. Samsung also lists a 4,860 mAh rated minimum; typical and rated-minimum figures are different specifications.

Capacity alone does not prove which phone lasts longer in everyday use. The cited manufacturer sources do not provide a controlled, directly comparable runtime test, and OnePlus cautions that actual battery life may vary. Screen use, network conditions, software and workload also affect endurance, so a runtime winner cannot be established from these capacity figures.
How do their software-support promises compare?
Samsung states up to six generations of Android OS/One UI upgrades and up to six years of security updates, counted from the Galaxy A27 5G’s initial global launch date. OnePlus states four Android OS updates and six years of security updates delivered via OTA for the Nord 6.

The quoted OS figures are not phrased identically: Samsung specifies generations of Android OS/One UI upgrades, while OnePlus specifies Android OS updates. Both companies state a six-year security-update period, but Samsung explicitly ties its period to the initial global launch date. These are manufacturer promises, not independent measures of update timing or delivery in every region.
Which phone should you choose?
- Choose by published India price: The Galaxy A27 5G is cheaper at both the lowest listed configuration and the matched 8 GB/256 GB tier.
- Prioritize stated battery capacity: The Nord 6 has the higher published capacity, but the available evidence does not establish longer real-world runtime.
- Want a more fully documented hardware specification: Samsung’s published information gives concrete display, processor and camera details. The available OnePlus material does not support an equivalent comparison.
- Value stated software-support duration: Compare the manufacturers’ distinct OS-update wording and security-update terms rather than treating the promises as identical.
OnePlus also advertises a 165 FPS gaming claim under specified test settings on its Nord 6 launch page. That company claim is not a comparable independent benchmark, and the reviewed sources do not establish enough matching chipset or test data to declare a gaming-performance winner.

Are these prices and specifications valid outside India?
No. The rupee configurations and prices above are from OnePlus India and Samsung India sources. Samsung’s U.S. announcement separately listed a starting price of $349.99 and availability on Samsung.com from July 14, 2026; that U.S. figure is not directly comparable with India prices because regional pricing, taxes, variants and offers differ. Samsung’s global announcement said availability would begin July 3 in select markets, while its India announcement gave July 3 availability for India.
