For buyers in India, the vivo T4 Ultra is the more camera-flexible choice if you want dedicated 3x optical zoom; the OnePlus Nord 5 offers a larger, faster-refresh display, a higher-resolution selfie camera and a larger stated battery. The vivo lists faster charging. Neither phone is a proven overall winner on photo quality, performance or real-world battery life based on the available comparable evidence, so the better pick depends on which hardware matters to you—and the current price for the same storage tier.

OnePlus Nord N200 5G, 64GB - Locked to T-Mobile (Renewed) | $80.22 | Buy on Amazon |
Which phone has the better camera setup?
Choose the T4 Ultra for a dedicated 3x zoom camera
The T4 Ultra has a 50MP periscope camera specified for 3x optical zoom, alongside its 50MP main camera and 8MP ultrawide. That gives it a dedicated rear-camera option for framing distant subjects without relying only on the main camera’s crop. If portraits, performances or travel details at that range are a regular part of your photography, this is the most distinctive hardware difference between the phones.
The Nord 5 keeps its rear setup simpler
OnePlus lists a 50MP main camera with optical image stabilization (OIS) and an 8MP ultrawide. Its listed rear setup does not include a dedicated telephoto or periscope camera. OIS is a hardware feature of the main camera; it does not by itself establish how its photos compare with the vivo’s.

Selfie resolution favors OnePlus on paper
The Nord 5’s selfie camera is listed at 50MP, compared with 32MP for the T4 Ultra. These are resolution figures, not a head-to-head assessment of detail, skin tones, low-light results or video. The available specifications do not establish an overall photo-quality winner for either phone.
Which has the better screen?
The Nord 5 is the choice on screen size and stated refresh rate: its India specification page lists a 6.83-inch, 144Hz AMOLED display. vivo lists a 6.67-inch display with a refresh rate up to 120Hz for the T4 Ultra. The Nord 5 is therefore the larger-screen option and has the higher listed refresh ceiling. Actual refresh behavior can depend on settings and content; these specification figures do not show how often either phone runs at its maximum.
Battery capacity versus charging speed
For the India models, OnePlus lists a 6,800mAh battery and 80W charging for the Nord 5; vivo lists 5,500mAh and 90W for the T4 Ultra. The Nord 5 has the greater stated battery capacity, while the T4 Ultra has the higher stated charging wattage. Neither figure alone proves which phone lasts longer or charges faster in a particular situation.

OnePlus also says battery life varies with factors including network, apps, calls, usage, battery age and settings. Treat its test figures as conditional results, not a guarantee of everyday endurance.
Software and update commitments
Both phones are listed with Android 15 at launch. OnePlus states a commitment of four Android-version upgrades and six years of security updates for the Nord 5. The vivo Store describes the T4 Ultra policy as “3+4” OS upgrades. These are not identical descriptions of support: the OnePlus statement separates Android-version upgrades from security updates, while vivo’s store wording does not spell out the same breakdown on the cited listing.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Price difference and availability in India
The available prices are snapshots from different pages and are not a synchronized, same-configuration comparison. 91mobiles displayed ₹39,990 for the Nord 5 and ₹35,999 for the T4 Ultra, with the T4 Ultra marked out of stock. The vivo India Store showed ₹39,999 against an MRP of ₹44,999 for a selected 12GB+512GB Phoenix Gold T4 Ultra, also marked out of stock when accessed in 2026. The vivo listing is for a specific configuration; the Nord 5 figure does not identify a matching storage tier here.
As a result, these amounts cannot establish which phone is cheaper to buy now. Check live stock and compare the same RAM and storage configuration, seller, included offers and final checkout price before deciding.

Which one should you buy?
Choose the vivo T4 Ultra if zoom reach is important
- You want a dedicated 3x periscope camera rather than relying on a main-camera crop.
- You prefer the higher stated charging wattage of 90W.
- You are comfortable with a 6.67-inch, 120Hz display and a 5,500mAh stated battery.
Choose the OnePlus Nord 5 if screen size or battery capacity leads
- You want the larger 6.83-inch panel and higher stated 144Hz refresh rate.
- You prioritize its higher stated India-market battery capacity of 6,800mAh.
- You want the higher-resolution listed selfie camera or value OnePlus’s stated four Android-version upgrades and six years of security updates.
For gaming or demanding workloads, compare independent tests of the exact India models before choosing based on the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 or Dimensity 9300+ name alone. The cited specifications do not provide a comparable test of sustained performance for both phones.
Quick Recap
What to check before ordering
- Confirm the exact variant. Match RAM and storage, not just the phone name; the cited vivo store price is for 12GB+512GB.
- Check current stock and the final price. The cited vivo offers were marked out of stock, and secondary-page prices may not reflect a live seller offer.
- Verify regional specifications. The Nord 5 battery is market-dependent: OnePlus India specifies 6,800mAh, and TechRadar notes that some market versions differ, identifying India and Australia as 6,800mAh markets. See TechRadar’s Nord 5 review for that regional context.
- Check network compatibility if buying outside India. vivo’s listed T4 Ultra specifications are for India and include specific 5G bands and dual nano-SIM support; confirm the local model and carrier bands for your country.
