The ₹8,000 difference compares the Nord 5’s listed starting price with the A56’s 8GB/128GB launch price. The A56 prices increase for higher-storage or memory configurations, so check the exact variants available before treating the gap as an apples-to-apples comparison. Samsung’s launch announcement also described temporary storage-upgrade offers; those are not current-price evidence.

Prices depend on country, configuration and retailer. Samsung’s US announcement listed a $499.99 starting price in 2025, while its US MSRP sheet effective March 2026 lists $499.99 for the 128GB unlocked SKU and $549.99 for the 256GB SKU; both rows are marked EOL, and the sheet says prices may change without notice. Those figures are not evidence of current stock. Do not compare them directly with Indian rupee prices.

Consider the Nord 5 if display and charging specifications matter most
OnePlus advertises a 144 Hz AMOLED panel, 1.5K resolution, a 6,800 mAh battery and 80 W charging. Those figures make the Nord 5 the more compelling spec-sheet match for someone prioritizing a higher advertised refresh rate, larger stated battery capacity and faster stated charging. They do not prove smoother performance in every app, longer battery life or a particular charging time.
Consider the Galaxy A56 if documented protection and OS-version coverage matter most
Samsung specifies IP67 dust and water resistance and Gorilla Glass Victus+ for the A56. It also states six generations of Android OS/One UI upgrades, compared with OnePlus’s advertised four Android version updates. Both companies state six years of security updates. These are manufacturer commitments; they do not specify the exact timing of each update.

Compare camera features by role, not megapixel total
Both phones list a 50 MP main camera with optical image stabilization, but the systems are not identical. Samsung specifies an ultra-wide and macro camera, while OnePlus advertises a 50 MP front camera and 4K 60 fps capture. Samsung’s India announcement states 10-bit HDR front recording. These feature lists do not establish which phone takes better photos or video; megapixel counts are not a substitute for comparable camera testing.
What the specifications cannot settle
The available manufacturer information does not provide a controlled comparison of benchmark performance, sustained heat, battery endurance, charging time, camera output or display preference. It therefore cannot support a tested overall winner. Real outcomes can depend on software, usage, network conditions and other factors, so choose based on the features that matter to you rather than treating a larger number as proof of better everyday results.
