The realme GT 7T is the stronger fit if you want a larger battery, 120W charging and UFS 4.0 storage; the OnePlus Nord 5 stands out for its 144Hz display, 50MP autofocus selfie camera and a clearly stated software-update commitment. Neither is a universal winner, and the best buy depends on the exact configuration price in India and which features matter most.

Which display is better?
The Nord 5 has a slightly larger listed screen and a higher refresh rate: 6.83 inches at 144Hz, versus the GT 7T’s 6.8 inches at 120Hz. A higher refresh rate can make supported scrolling and animation look smoother, but it does not by itself establish that the whole display is better.

Performance and storage
The Nord 5 uses Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8s Gen 3, while the GT 7T uses MediaTek’s Dimensity 8400-MAX. The available specifications identify different platforms, but do not establish a universal performance winner across games, everyday apps and sustained workloads.
91mobiles’ comparison page displayed AnTuTu scores of 1,481,616 for the Nord 5 and 1,761,804 for the GT 7T when accessed on 5 October 2026. These are that publisher’s snapshot figures, not results from a matched test described here or a guarantee of what a buyer will see. A benchmark score should not substitute for the workloads and conditions that matter to you.
The GT 7T is listed with UFS 4.0 storage, compared with UFS 3.1 in the Nord 5. UFS 4.0 is the newer stated generation, but the label alone does not determine how fast a phone feels; the specific task and the rest of the device matter too.

Camera comparison
Both phones are listed with 50MP main and 8MP ultrawide rear cameras. OnePlus specifies optical image stabilisation (OIS) for the Nord 5’s main camera. The Nord 5 also has a 50MP autofocus front camera, while 91mobiles lists a 32MP front camera for the GT 7T.
The Nord’s higher front-camera resolution is a useful specification difference, not proof that it takes better photos. The reviewed sources do not provide a matched image-quality test that establishes an overall camera winner, and megapixel counts alone cannot settle image quality.
Battery capacity and charging
The GT 7T has the higher stated capacity and faster rated charging: realme lists a 7,000mAh typical capacity, a 6,850mAh rated capacity and 120W charging. realme describes those totals as dual-cell batteries of 3,500mAh typical and 3,425mAh rated per cell. OnePlus lists a 6,800mAh battery and 80W charging for the Nord 5.
Rank #2
- 5G Enabled - The OnePlus Nord N20 is the perfect entry-level 5G phone, featuring premium specs and an affordable price. *5G compatible with most GSM service providers (T-Mobile, AT&T, Etc). Will not work with CDMA Carriers. Check with your service provider for compatibility.
- Display: Features a 6.43-inch AMOLED display with 128GB of storage and 68 minutes of battery life
- Camera: Includes a 5MP front camera and 5G connectivity for fast wireless speeds
- Memory: Comes with 6GB of RAM and a 4500mAh battery for extended use
- Security: Equipped with a fingerprint sensor for quick and secure access
These figures make the GT 7T the more compelling specification choice if capacity and charging rate are priorities. They do not, by themselves, predict how long either phone lasts in your use or how quickly it charges in every situation.
As another point of reference, 91mobiles displayed PCMark battery-test results of 11h50m for the Nord 5 and 16h05m for the GT 7T on its comparison page accessed 5 October 2026. Those are the publisher’s test results, not guaranteed everyday runtimes; usage and test conditions affect what a buyer experiences.

OnePlus’s India Nord 5 product page states “4 Android versions, 6-year security.” The reviewed realme India product page did not confirm an equivalent GT 7T schedule. Although 91mobiles lists four Android and six security years for the GT 7T, check realme’s official regional policy for the commitment that applies to the model you plan to buy.
India price difference on 5 October 2026
| Price observation | OnePlus Nord 5 | realme GT 7T |
|---|---|---|
| Manufacturer-listed starting price | ₹33,999 on OnePlus India’s page | Not stated in the reviewed realme India product-page information |
| Third-party seller price displayed by 91mobiles | ₹45,000 at Flipkart | ₹38,999 at Amazon |
The two 91mobiles seller prices imply a displayed difference of ₹6,001 in the GT 7T’s favour, but they are not a reliable like-for-like comparison: the pages may reflect different memory/storage variants, offers or seller conditions. OnePlus’s ₹33,999 figure is a manufacturer-listed starting price, not necessarily the price of the configuration or listing you will purchase. Check the same configuration and seller terms before comparing totals.
Which one should you buy?
Choose the realme GT 7T if
- You prioritise the larger stated battery and 120W charging.
- You want the newer listed storage standard, UFS 4.0.
- Its current price for the exact configuration you want is lower than the Nord 5’s.
- You prefer its Dimensity 8400-MAX platform, while recognising that the available figures do not prove it is faster for every workload.
Choose the OnePlus Nord 5 if
- You value its 144Hz display over the GT 7T’s listed 120Hz panel.
- You want a 50MP autofocus front camera.
- You place weight on OnePlus’s explicit four-Android-version and six-year security-update statement.
Before buying either phone, compare live India listings for the same RAM and storage configuration, then weigh the features you will actually use. The available evidence supports a conditional choice, not a single best phone for everyone.
