The OnePlus Nord 5 and realme 15 Pro 5G launched in India at the same starting price, but their base models did not offer the same storage. The Nord 5 pairs a faster-positioned Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset with a flat display; the realme 15 Pro offers a larger rated battery, a curved screen and a higher-resolution ultrawide camera. Compare the exact RAM and storage variant—not just the headline price—before choosing.

OnePlus Nord 5 vs realme 15 Pro: key specifications

Specifications are from the manufacturers and 91mobiles’ comparison; check the exact regional model and configuration when buying. realme’s peak-brightness figure is a manufacturer claim, not a promise of sustained whole-screen brightness in everyday use. Sources: OnePlus, realme, and 91mobiles.

How much do the Nord 5 and realme 15 Pro cost?

India Today reported the following launch prices on July 25, 2025. These are historical launch prices, not current offers.

At the entry level, both started at ₹31,999, but the Nord 5 launch variant had twice the storage: 256 GB versus 128 GB. A 91mobiles page snapshot accessed October 7, 2026 showed the Nord 5 at ₹39,990 at Flipkart and no store listing for the realme 15 Pro; that snapshot does not establish current availability or pricing. Which phone has stronger performance?

The Nord 5 has the stronger chipset position on paper: it uses Snapdragon 8s Gen 3, while the realme 15 Pro uses Snapdragon 7 Gen 4. In the 91mobiles comparison, the reported AnTuTu results were 1,481,616 for the Nord 5 and 1,086,379 for the realme 15 Pro. These are figures reported by that comparison page, accessed October 7, 2026—not a guarantee of how every app, game or user experience will compare. Performance also depends on software, temperature, settings and workload.

If demanding games or processing headroom are your priority, the Nord 5 is the more compelling specification-led choice. OnePlus also publishes gaming and performance claims with specific test conditions; those should be read as manufacturer testing rather than independent results. How do the displays and designs differ?

Both phones have 144 Hz AMOLED displays, but they make different design choices. The Nord 5’s listed 6.83-inch screen is flat, while the realme 15 Pro’s 6.8-inch screen curves at the edges and is branded by realme as a HyperGlow 4D Curve+ display. Choose based on handling and visual preference: a flat panel avoids curved edges, while the realme’s curved design gives the front a more immersive look.

realme advertises up to 6,500 nits peak brightness and describes the display as 1.5K. Peak brightness is a condition-dependent manufacturer claim and should not be confused with sustained brightness across the whole screen in normal use. Battery capacity and charging

The realme 15 Pro has the larger rated battery at 7,000 mAh, compared with 6,800 mAh in the India Nord 5 listing. Both manufacturers specify 80 W wired charging. Capacity alone does not determine actual runtime, which varies with factors such as display use, network conditions and workload. realme also notes that its lab charging figures can vary with the testing environment and battery wear.

91mobiles’ comparison page, accessed October 7, 2026, lists PCMark battery results of 15 hours 40 minutes for the realme 15 Pro and 11 hours 50 minutes for the Nord 5. The retrieved comparison information does not fully document the test method or establish that the results represent typical mixed use, so treat them as that site’s test results rather than a direct prediction of your battery life. Camera hardware and video specifications

Both models list a 50 MP main rear camera and a 50 MP front camera. Their ultrawide cameras differ on resolution: 8 MP on the Nord 5 and 50 MP on the realme 15 Pro. That gives the realme a higher-resolution ultrawide specification, but megapixels alone do not establish which phone takes better photos.

91mobiles lists rear video recording up to 4K at 60 fps for the Nord 5 and 4K at 30 fps for the realme 15 Pro, with front-camera 4K at 60 fps listed for both. realme’s “All 50MP All 4K 60fps” wording is manufacturer promotional language; verify the particular camera and available recording mode on the exact regional model before relying on it. Sources: realme India and 91mobiles.

Software support: check the regional commitment

91mobiles lists Android 15 for both and reports four years of OS updates plus six years of security updates for the Nord 5, compared with three years of OS updates and four years of security updates for the realme 15 Pro. Published reports conflict on the realme OS-update duration: India Today’s July 25, 2025 comparison describes two years. Because the figures differ, verify the current India-specific commitment with the manufacturer before treating either duration as definitive. Sources: 91mobiles and India Today.

Which one should you choose?

• Choose the OnePlus Nord 5 if chipset performance is your priority, you prefer a flat display, or you value the longer update periods reported for it by 91mobiles—after confirming the applicable regional support policy.
• Choose the realme 15 Pro if you prefer a curved display, want the larger rated battery, or value a 50 MP ultrawide camera specification.
• Compare storage carefully if prices are close. At launch, the Nord 5’s ₹31,999 base configuration included 256 GB, while the realme 15 Pro’s same-price base configuration included 128 GB.

Neither the camera resolution figures nor the battery capacities alone settle overall photo quality or real-world endurance. Those trade-offs are better decided by the features you value and current prices for equivalent configurations.
