What is the India price difference?
In the 91mobiles comparison accessed in 2026, the displayed prices were ₹42,999 for the Nord 5 and ₹29,999 for the Edge 70 Fusion—a ₹13,000 difference in favor of Motorola. The page identified the prices as available via Flipkart. However, OnePlus India’s product page displayed the Nord 5 starting at ₹33,999. Those figures do not establish a like-for-like price gap: the available evidence does not resolve whether the difference reflects configuration, offer or listing changes.

For a useful comparison, match RAM and storage, then check the retailer’s current checkout price and any applicable offer. The Nord 5 configurations cited in TechRadar’s review are not proof that every configuration is sold in India. Do not treat the snapshot above as a current quote.
Which phone has better performance?
The Nord 5’s listed Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 is the higher-tier platform compared with the Edge 70 Fusion’s Snapdragon 7s Gen 4. That makes the Nord 5 the stronger paper choice for demanding workloads, but a chipset comparison alone cannot guarantee how a particular game or app will run.
91mobiles reported Geekbench multi-core scores of 5,094 for the Nord 5 and 3,475 for the Edge 70 Fusion, and AnTuTu scores of 1,481,616 and 1,149,292, respectively. These are figures from that publisher’s comparison, not a universal measure of real-world speed; results can vary with software, device configuration and test conditions.

Both phones list large AMOLED displays with a 144Hz refresh rate. The Nord 5 is listed at 6.83 inches and the Edge 70 Fusion at 6.8 inches. The published resolution figures are close, though their order is written differently in the cited sources: 1272 × 2800 for the Nord 5 in 91mobiles’ listing and 2772 × 1272 for Motorola’s Edge 70 Fusion sheet. Compare the specific regional model and display feel in person if size, curvature or brightness is a deciding factor.
Camera differences: higher selfie resolution versus a wider rear camera
Both phones list a 50MP main rear camera. Motorola specifies optical image stabilization (OIS) for the Edge 70 Fusion’s main camera and lists a 13MP ultra-wide camera, compared with the Nord 5’s 8MP ultra-wide in the 91mobiles comparison. The Nord 5 has the higher stated front-camera resolution at 50MP versus Motorola’s 32MP.
Megapixel counts and the presence of OIS describe hardware, not a controlled comparison of photo quality. If camera performance will decide the purchase, look at credible sample images taken in similar conditions and reviews of the exact regional models rather than naming a winner from specifications alone.
Battery capacity and charging
Motorola’s India specification sheet lists a 7,000mAh battery for the Edge 70 Fusion, compared with 6,800mAh on OnePlus India’s Nord 5 page. The Edge’s rated capacity is larger, while the Nord 5 has the higher advertised wired charging rate: 80W versus Motorola’s 68W TurboPower. Capacity and charging wattage by themselves do not establish everyday battery life or a full-charge time.

Regional configuration matters especially for the Motorola: TechRadar’s review notes that the Edge 70 Fusion battery is 7,000mAh in some markets and 5,200mAh in others. Its reviewer tested a handset for one month and reported strong battery life for that review configuration; that observation should not be applied automatically to every regional version. Motorola’s India sheet says a 68W TurboPower charger is included in the India package.
In 91mobiles’ comparison, the PCMark battery test results were 17h 34m for the Edge 70 Fusion and 11h 50m for the Nord 5. Those are the publisher’s synthetic test figures, not a promise of screen time in ordinary use.

These are manufacturer or publisher policy statements; check the current local policy and the exact variant before buying.
For storage, TechRadar’s Nord 5 review covers 8GB/256GB and 12GB/512GB versions, while Motorola’s India sheet lists 8GB or 12GB RAM with 128GB or 256GB storage. Check local stock and compare the actual configuration price rather than assuming the same storage tier is available for both models.
Which phone should you choose?
Choose the OnePlus Nord 5 if
- You prioritize the listed Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 platform for demanding use.
- You want a 50MP front camera or OnePlus’s advertised 80W charging.
- You need a larger storage configuration, such as 512GB, if it is available in your market.
Choose the Motorola Edge 70 Fusion if
- You prioritize the 7,000mAh battery listed for the India model.
- You prefer its 68W charging or its 13MP ultra-wide camera specification.
- The current price for the exact RAM and storage version is meaningfully lower than the Nord 5.
For either phone, compare the exact local configuration and live seller price. The strongest reason to choose one over the other depends on which matters more to you: the Nord 5’s listed chipset and front camera, or the Edge 70 Fusion’s larger India-listed battery and the price of the configuration you can actually buy.
Prices outside India are not directly comparable
TechRadar reported 2025 review-era Nord 5 launch prices of £399 / AU$799 for 8GB/256GB and £499 / AU$899 for 12GB/512GB. For the Edge 70 Fusion, it reported £379.99 / AU$499 and said the phone was not sold in the US at review time. These are launch-market figures reported in reviews, not current prices or India quotes.
