The OnePlus Nord 5 suits buyers who want a larger, faster-refresh display and faster wired charging; the Samsung Galaxy S25 FE is the more flexible camera phone, adds wireless charging and IP68-rated water resistance, and has the longer stated software-support period. Neither is a universal winner. Choose by the features you will use, your region, and the current price for the exact storage variant.

What is the price difference?
For India, 91mobiles displayed ₹45,000 for the Nord 5 and ₹48,999 for the Galaxy S25 FE when accessed on October 7, 2026. That is a displayed difference of ₹3,999, with the Nord 5 lower. The page showed the Nord listing at Flipkart and the Samsung listing at Amazon, but it does not establish that the two prices are for matching storage configurations. These are volatile listing prices, not guaranteed checkout prices; verify the seller, storage, stock, and final price before deciding. See the comparison listing.

The same outlet reported Galaxy S25 FE launch prices of $649/£649/AU$1,099 for 128GB/8GB, $699/£699/AU$1,199 for 256GB, and $799/£799/AU$1,399 for 512GB. Which display is the better fit?
The Nord 5 has the larger panel and higher listed refresh rate: 6.83 inches at 144 Hz, compared with 6.7 inches at 120 Hz on the Galaxy S25 FE. That can make the Nord more appealing if screen size and smooth scrolling are high priorities. Refresh rate alone does not determine overall display quality, however; the panels use different technologies and specifications, and these numbers do not establish which looks better to you.
Which phone has the more useful cameras?
The Galaxy S25 FE offers more rear-camera flexibility because it has a dedicated telephoto camera with 3× optical zoom, alongside its main and ultrawide cameras. The Nord 5 lists a main and ultrawide camera but no dedicated telephoto lens. If you often photograph distant subjects, Samsung’s zoom lens is a concrete hardware advantage.
The Nord 5 lists a 50 MP front camera, compared with 12 MP on the Galaxy S25 FE. Higher resolution by itself does not prove better photos: it does not establish color, low-light performance, focus, or overall image quality. The available specifications do not settle a standardized camera-quality winner.

Does the Nord 5 have better battery life?
Its battery capacity depends on the market: TechRadar reports 5,200 mAh for the European Nord 5 and 6,800 mAh for versions sold in India and some other regions. Samsung India lists a 4,900 mAh typical battery for the Galaxy S25 FE. Capacity figures alone cannot show which lasts longer, and no same-protocol head-to-head endurance result is established here.
Charging is a clearer distinction. The Nord 5 supports 80 W wired charging. The Galaxy S25 FE supports up to 45 W wired charging and adds 15 W wireless charging, which the Nord 5 does not list in the cited specifications. Choose the Nord for its higher listed wired charging rate; choose Samsung if wireless charging matters more.

Samsung rates the Galaxy S25 FE IP68. Samsung qualifies this as a laboratory rating for submersion in up to 1.5 meters of freshwater for up to 30 minutes, says water resistance can diminish with wear, and does not advise beach or pool use. Samsung’s product information provides the rating and qualifications. The cited sources do not establish a comparable Nord 5 rating, so do not assume it offers the same protection.
The cited 91mobiles comparison reports four years of OS updates for the Nord 5 and seven years for the Galaxy S25 FE, which it lists as launching with Android 16. Separately, Samsung India lists security updates for the S25 FE through September 30, 2032. OS-upgrade commitments and a stated security-update period are different measures; check the support terms for the exact model and market if update longevity is a deciding factor. 91mobiles’ comparison and Samsung India’s listing provide the cited details.

Which phone should you choose?
- Choose the OnePlus Nord 5 if you prefer its larger, 144 Hz display, faster listed wired charging, or higher-resolution front-camera specification—and its price for your chosen configuration is better.
- Choose the Samsung Galaxy S25 FE if you want a dedicated 3× optical-zoom camera, wireless charging, a stated IP68 rating, or the longer stated software-support commitment.
- Compare exact local listings before treating one as the better value: match storage, check the seller and warranty, and use the price you can actually buy at rather than a launch price or an unmatched listing snapshot.
