The Motorola has the higher listed resolution: QHD+ at 1440 × 3168, compared with the OnePlus 15R’s FHD+ 1272 × 2800. The OnePlus has the higher listed refresh rate, at 165Hz versus Motorola’s maximum of 144Hz. In practical terms, Motorola’s specification favors detail, while OnePlus’s favors a higher refresh ceiling. Actual display experience also depends on content, settings and software; these specs do not establish an overall winner.

Which phone has the better performance and memory?
Both phones are listed with Snapdragon 8 Gen 5, and the compared configurations include 256GB storage. OnePlus is listed with 12GB RAM; Motorola’s official support specification lists 8GB LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB UFS 4.1 storage. That gives OnePlus the higher stated RAM capacity in this comparison, but it does not prove faster performance. The available sources contain no independent head-to-head testing of speed or sustained performance.
Battery and charging: larger capacity or wireless convenience?
The OnePlus 15R’s listed 7,400mAh battery is 300mAh larger than the Motorola Edge 70 Max’s 7,100mAh silicon-carbon battery. Capacity alone cannot show which lasts longer in real use: screen settings, network conditions, software and usage affect endurance, and no comparative battery test is established here.

Motorola lists 90W wired charging, 25W Qi2 magnetic wireless charging and 5W reverse wired charging. OnePlus lists 80W wired charging, with no wireless charging in the comparison source. The listed wattages describe charging specifications, not independently measured charging times.

How do their cameras compare?
Both have a listed 50MP OIS main camera and an 8MP secondary rear camera, but the named main sensors and secondary-camera descriptions differ. OnePlus lists a Sony IMX906 main camera and an 8MP ultrawide; Motorola lists a Sony LYTIA 710 main camera and an 8MP ultrawide/macro. There is no head-to-head image-quality evidence in the available sources, so megapixels and sensor names are not enough to declare a camera winner.

Which phone has stronger protection claims?
Motorola’s EMEA support specification lists IP68/IP69 and MIL-STD 810H. OnePlus advertises multiple IP ratings, but the exact ratings and terms should be checked for the regional 15R model. These are manufacturer specifications, not a comparative durability test. Review the conditions behind any protection claim and the warranty exclusions before treating a rating as assurance against damage.
What is the price difference?
On the 91mobiles comparison page checked October 7, 2026, the OnePlus 15R was listed at ₹59,999 and the Motorola Edge 70 Max at ₹53,770, both with Amazon-linked offers. That makes Motorola ₹6,229 cheaper in that snapshot. These are not verified official prices or guaranteed current checkout prices; prices, stock and offers can change, and the snapshot does not establish that the listings are for identical storage or color variants. Check the retailer listings and compare the same storage tier before buying.
Which should you choose?
- Consider the Motorola Edge 70 Max if QHD+ resolution, Qi2 wireless charging, its listed protection claims or a lower available checkout price matter most to you.
- Consider the OnePlus 15R if you prioritize a 165Hz refresh-rate specification, the compared configuration’s 12GB RAM or its larger stated battery capacity.
- Do not decide on chipset alone: both list Snapdragon 8 Gen 5, and the available specifications do not show which delivers better real-world performance.
