The OnePlus 15 vs Xiaomi 17 Ultra choice comes down to priorities: OnePlus publishes a 7,300mAh battery and 120W wired charging, while Xiaomi specifies a Leica-branded rear camera system with a 200MP telephoto camera. Both list the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, so the chipset name alone does not separate them. Neither set of specifications proves which phone takes better photos or lasts longer in everyday use.

OnePlus 15 vs Xiaomi 17 Ultra specs at a glance

The figures below come from different regional product pages: OnePlus’s global specifications, Xiaomi’s UK display specifications, and Xiaomi’s India camera specifications. Regional models and availability may differ.

How the camera systems compare

Xiaomi’s published hardware is the camera-focused proposition

Xiaomi’s India specification page describes a 50MP main camera, a 200MP telephoto camera with a 75–100mm range, and a 50MP ultra-wide camera. Those focal lengths and the dedicated telephoto hardware make the camera system the clearest paper distinction between the phones in the available specifications. Megapixel counts and sensor size do not, by themselves, establish image quality; results depend on factors such as processing, lighting, and the photographer’s use.

OnePlus camera details are not fully established here

The cited OnePlus global specification excerpt does not provide a complete rear-camera breakdown. That is not evidence that the OnePlus 15 has an inferior camera. To choose on photography, compare full regional specifications and direct image tests, especially for zoom, ultra-wide shots, and low-light scenes.

Battery and charging: OnePlus publishes the clearer figures

OnePlus lists a 7,300mAh typical equivalent battery capacity and 120W SUPERVOOC wired charging. These are published specifications, not a controlled battery-endurance result or a guarantee of how quickly every user’s phone will charge. The cited Xiaomi specification excerpt does not provide a comparable battery or charging figure, so it cannot support a like-for-like numerical comparison.

If capacity and a stated high wired-charging rate are central to your decision, the OnePlus specification is the more concrete evidence. For actual time between charges, look for independent tests using comparable settings and workloads rather than inferring endurance from capacity alone.

Display and performance

Screen size and refresh rate

Xiaomi’s UK page lists a 6.9-inch display with a 1–120Hz refresh rate. OnePlus’s global page lists a 6.78-inch display with adaptive 1–120Hz refresh and a maximum of 165Hz specifically in gaming. The stated 165Hz is a gaming-mode figure, not the phone’s general refresh-rate ceiling for every task. Xiaomi’s listed display is larger; whether that is preferable depends on whether you value screen area or a smaller handset.

Same chipset name, not proof of identical speed

Both manufacturers name the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5. That makes the platform name a tie on paper, but does not establish identical sustained performance, thermal behavior, or performance in a particular app. The published specifications cited here include no controlled head-to-head performance test.
