The OnePlus 15 and vivo X300 Ultra share the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, but their published specifications point to different priorities: OnePlus emphasizes battery capacity, fast charging and high refresh rates, while vivo offers a higher-resolution display and a more specialized camera system. Their cited prices are from different countries and configurations, so they do not establish a like-for-like price gap.

Which phone has the better display?
By listed size and resolution, the vivo X300 Ultra has the larger, sharper panel: 6.82 inches at 3168 × 1440, compared with the OnePlus 15’s 6.78 inches at 2772 × 1272. OnePlus specifies an adaptive 1–120Hz range and a maximum of 165Hz in gaming. The retrieved vivo India store details do not state its refresh rate, so that figure cannot be compared here.
These specifications do not settle overall display quality. Brightness, color behavior and real-world viewing were not established by the cited listings.

Yes. Both manufacturers list the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, so the chipset name alone does not distinguish the phones. OnePlus lists 12GB or 16GB RAM and 256GB or 512GB storage. The cited vivo India configuration is 16GB RAM with 512GB storage; other configurations are not established by that listing.

A shared processor specification is not evidence that the phones perform identically in every task. Comparable testing would be needed to assess benchmark scores, sustained performance or differences in day-to-day use.
How do their camera systems differ?
OnePlus 15: three 50MP rear cameras
The OnePlus US launch page describes a 50MP main camera, a 50MP ultra-wide camera and a 50MP telephoto camera, with 3.5× optical zoom.
vivo X300 Ultra: higher-resolution cameras and optional extenders
vivo lists a 200MP main camera, a 50MP ultra-wide camera and a 200MP telephoto camera. Its global product page also describes dedicated ZEISS telephoto accessories: the Telephoto Extender Gen 2 provides a 200mm-equivalent focal length, and the Gen 2 Ultra provides a 400mm-equivalent focal length when attached to the X300 Ultra and enabled in the Camera app. These are purpose-built accessories for this phone, not universal lenses.
On paper, the vivo has a more specialized camera setup and longer-reach accessory options. Megapixel counts and focal-length specifications do not by themselves establish which phone takes better pictures; that requires comparable image testing.

Which has the bigger battery or faster charging?
OnePlus lists a 7,300mAh battery and 120W SUPERVOOC charging on its global specifications page. The vivo India listing gives 6,600mAh typical capacity, 6,395mAh rated capacity and 100W FlashCharge. The capacity figures are not a direct measure of battery endurance: actual runtime depends on usage, software and testing conditions, and the cited figures do not prove that one phone lasts longer.
What is the price difference?
The available figures come from different markets and price contexts. OnePlus’s US launch page gives a starting price of $999.99. In India, the vivo store lists its 16GB+512GB configuration at ₹159,999, with MRP ₹199,999. A 91mobiles comparison-page snapshot lists ₹85,999 for OnePlus 15 and ₹159,999 for vivo X300 Ultra in India.
These figures should not be treated as a universal or like-for-like price gap: one is a US starting price, while the India figures are listing snapshots, and the vivo store price is tied to a specific configuration. For a purchase decision, compare current prices in the same country for matching RAM and storage, and check promotions, warranty terms and included accessories. The vivo India store says its box includes a USB power adapter and case; that should not be assumed for other regions.

Which phone should you choose?
- Consider the OnePlus 15 if its listed 7,300mAh battery, 120W charging, adaptive refresh-rate range and gaming maximum align with your priorities. Its official specifications also offer several RAM and storage combinations.
- Consider the vivo X300 Ultra if you want the higher-resolution panel, a 200MP main and telephoto camera specification, or the option of its dedicated 200mm- and 400mm-equivalent telephoto extenders.
- Compare locally before buying if price, warranty or box contents matter. The cited price examples are not from equivalent markets and configurations.
Neither paper specification sheet establishes a real-world winner for camera quality, screen quality, speed or battery life. Those comparisons require testing under comparable conditions.
