On paper, the OnePlus 15 is the more capable, premium-positioned phone, with a higher-tier processor, a dedicated 3.5× optical telephoto camera, and faster rated charging. The TECNO POVA 8 Pro 5G offers a 1.5K 144Hz AMOLED display and a 6,500mAh battery, but costs less in some India listing snapshots. There is no verified, like-for-like global price gap, and specifications alone cannot establish which phone takes better photos, lasts longer, or performs better in everyday use.

Which phone is better?
The OnePlus 15 has the stronger specification-led case if you want a dedicated zoom camera, wireless charging, or a higher-tier processor. The POVA 8 Pro 5G may suit buyers who prioritize a high-refresh AMOLED display and want to consider a lower-priced regional listing. Those are hardware and listing distinctions, not proof of real-world superiority.

Performance and software
OnePlus lists the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, while TECNO lists the Dimensity 7400 Ultimate 5G. That positions the OnePlus as the higher-tier option on paper, but the cited specifications do not provide comparable benchmark results or establish how either phone performs in particular games or workloads. Both manufacturers list Android 16-based software: OxygenOS 16 on OnePlus and HiOS 16 on TECNO.
Display
Both phones have a 6.78-inch display. The OnePlus 15 lists a 2772 × 1272 resolution and adaptive refresh from 1Hz to 120Hz, with a maximum 165Hz refresh rate in gaming. TECNO lists a 2644 × 1208 144Hz AMOLED screen. A higher refresh-rate ceiling does not by itself determine overall display quality, and the cited product information does not establish comparable independent display-test results.
Cameras
The clearest hardware distinction is the rear camera setup: OnePlus lists a 50MP telephoto camera with 3.5× optical zoom alongside its main and ultra-wide cameras. TECNO lists a 50MP OIS main camera and an 8MP ultra-wide camera. The OnePlus front camera is listed at 32MP and the TECNO at 13MP. Megapixel counts and camera hardware do not establish photo quality; comparable independent image testing is not available in the cited specifications.

Battery, charging, and durability
OnePlus lists a 7,300mAh battery, 80W wired charging, and 50W wireless charging. TECNO lists a 6,500mAh battery and 45W wired charging. These are manufacturer ratings, not measured battery endurance or charge-time results. Both brands list IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K ratings; a listed rating is not a promise that water damage is covered by warranty.
Memory and storage
OnePlus lists two configurations: 12GB RAM with 256GB storage, or 16GB RAM with 512GB. TECNO’s regional Mexico page lists 8GB or 12GB physical RAM and separately identifies extended RAM, alongside 256GB or 512GB storage. Extended RAM is not additional physical RAM; compare the physical-memory figure when choosing a configuration.

Prices below are regional references, not a direct cross-market comparison. Store prices and third-party listing snapshots can change; check the seller’s current checkout price and exact configuration before buying.
| Market and source | Listed price | What the listing establishes |
|---|---|---|
| United States — OnePlus official store | $899.99 for 12GB/256GB; $999.99 for 16GB/512GB | OnePlus configurations and prices shown on its US product page; the page also displays a 15-day return policy. |
| India — OnePlus official store | ₹85,999 minimum fixed price | A separate regional OnePlus listing; it is not a US price or a like-for-like comparison with a TECNO listing. |
| India — 91mobiles comparison page | ₹49,999 and ₹47,999 POVA 8 Pro entries | The available listing does not identify which exact edition or configuration corresponds to each entry. These are third-party page prices, not confirmed current checkout prices. |

One free scan finds every outdated or missing driver and matches the right update for your exact hardware.Free scan · exact hardware matchSubtracting the ₹49,999 POVA entry from the ₹85,999 OnePlus India listing gives a ₹36,000 snapshot difference, but it is not a verified like-for-like checkout comparison: the exact POVA edition is unclear, and the listings may not represent the same storage tier or current sale prices. No official TECNO India retail price is established by these sources, so they do not support a universal price gap.
Quick Recap
What to check before buying a regional or imported phone
- Confirm the exact model number, storage tier, and physical RAM configuration on the seller’s listing.
- Check that the phone supports your carrier’s 5G bands and other network requirements; the cited product pages do not establish universal cross-market compatibility.
- Verify the seller, local warranty terms, and return policy. Do not assume water-damage coverage from an IP rating.
- Confirm whether a charger is included and whether it supports the phone’s advertised charging standard.
- Compare current checkout prices in the same market rather than treating regional prices or unidentified third-party entries as equivalent.
