Which phone has the stronger performance and display specifications?
Chipset
The OnePlus 15’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 is the higher-tier chip in this comparison; the Nothing uses a Snapdragon 7 Gen 4. That establishes a difference in chipset tier, not a measured speed gap. The cited sources do not provide a controlled benchmark that supports a specific percentage advantage or a guarantee about performance in every app.

Display
Both phones are listed with AMOLED displays around 6.8 inches. PhoneArena lists 165Hz for OnePlus and 144Hz for Nothing. Those refresh rates describe how often the screen can refresh, not a guarantee that every app or activity will run at that rate.
Battery and charging: capacity is not endurance
PhoneArena lists 7,300mAh for the OnePlus 15 and 5,080mAh for the Nothing Phone (4a) Pro. These capacities do not establish which phone lasts longer in daily use: screen settings, workload, software and network conditions all affect runtime, and the cited sources do not provide a comparable battery-life test.
The comparison lists 80W wired and 50W wireless charging for OnePlus, and 50W wired charging for Nothing. Confirm the specifications for the exact regional model before buying, since charging configurations may vary by market.

Android Central reported this as a company claim, not an independently verified result; its report also attributes the “around 80%” industry comparison to Nothing, rather than presenting it as a separate industry study. Camera: Nothing’s documented telephoto feature
Android Central reports that the Nothing Phone (4a) Pro has a 50MP periscope telephoto camera with 3.5x optical zoom. That is a concrete feature advantage for someone who wants a dedicated telephoto camera, but it does not by itself show which phone takes better photos overall. The cited material does not provide comparable camera samples or a controlled quality test.
Durability and software support
Ingress protection
PhoneArena lists IP69 for the OnePlus 15 and IP65 for the Nothing Phone (4a) Pro. These are different ingress-protection ratings; neither means the phone is waterproof. Treat them as specified protection ratings, not permission to submerge a device or expose it to water without checking the manufacturer’s guidance.

Price difference: compare the same market and configuration
PhoneArena lists the OnePlus 15 at $899 for 12GB/256GB and the Nothing Phone (4a) Pro at $499 for 8GB/128GB. The $400 gap is a subtraction between those listed configurations, not a like-for-like price comparison: the Nothing entry has half the storage and less memory.
Store prices vary by region and date. At the time reflected on Nothing’s US store page, the selected 8GB/128GB model showed $419 with $499 struck through; Nothing’s UK page showed £519. The US display is a sale price shown against a struck-through price, not evidence of a permanent price or a universal MSRP. Do not convert or combine these regional figures as if they applied in one market.
- Nothing’s US Phone (4a) Pro store page: selected 8GB/128GB configuration displayed at $419, with $499 struck through.
- Nothing’s UK Phone (4a) Pro store page: listed at £519.
Android Central’s March 5, 2026 launch report described the Nothing Pro’s base price as $499/£499. That dated launch pricing differs from the later store-page displays above, illustrating why you should check the current local price and exact configuration when deciding.
Which phone should you choose?
Choose the OnePlus 15 if
- You prioritize the higher-tier chipset and faster listed refresh rate.
- You want the larger listed battery capacity or wireless charging as specified by PhoneArena.
- The OnePlus price at your local retailer is acceptable for the memory and storage configuration offered.
Choose the Nothing Phone (4a) Pro if
- You want to spend less based on the cited entry-level price examples, while recognizing that the comparison-page configurations do not match.
- A dedicated 50MP periscope telephoto camera with 3.5x optical zoom is useful to you.
- Nothing’s reported update commitment is important, and you are comparing it with a verified support policy for any OnePlus model you are considering.
Before paying, check prices for equivalent memory and storage in the same country, confirm the regional charging configuration, and review the seller’s stock and return terms. No comparative battery-endurance or camera-quality result is established by the cited specifications and launch coverage.
