OnePlus specifications for the 13s are from its official India product page. Redmi specifications in this comparison are listed by 91mobiles; an official Xiaomi regional listing was not verified here. Confirm the exact local model and SKU before relying on those details, especially for warranty or durability decisions.
Size and handling: choose your preferred screen class
The OnePlus 13s is 6.32 inches and 185 g, compared with the Redmi Turbo 5 at 6.59 inches and 204 g in the comparison listing. The 13s is the more compact and lighter pick; the Redmi gives you more display area but adds 19 g. If you often use a phone one-handed or prioritize pocketability, the size difference may matter more than the small resolution differences. For video, reading, and other tasks where a larger panel is welcome, the Redmi’s listed screen is larger.

Performance: reported benchmarks favor OnePlus, but are not a matched test
91mobiles lists the Snapdragon 8 Elite in the OnePlus 13s and the Dimensity 8500 Ultra in the Redmi Turbo 5. Its comparison page reports AnTuTu scores of 2,581,355 for OnePlus and 2,135,669 for Redmi, plus Geekbench multi-core scores of 9,192 and 6,657, respectively. The underlying test setup and date were not established, and benchmark results vary with software, test version, and conditions. Treat these as figures reported by that source, not a head-to-head test conducted under controlled conditions for this article.
OnePlus calls the Snapdragon 8 Elite the “Fastest Snapdragon® 8 Elite Mobile Platform”; that is the manufacturer’s marketing claim, not an independent ranking. A benchmark gap alone also does not establish how fast either phone feels in a particular app or game.
Camera choice: telephoto reach or ultrawide framing
The listed secondary cameras serve different purposes. The OnePlus 13s has a telephoto camera with up to 2× optical zoom, which can help frame subjects that are farther away. The Redmi Turbo 5’s 8 MP secondary camera is listed as ultrawide, a useful perspective for groups, architecture, or tight interiors. The comparison also lists a 32 MP front camera for OnePlus and a 20 MP front camera for Redmi. These resolutions and lens types do not establish which phone takes better photos; that requires comparable real-world image testing.
Battery and charging: bigger ratings are not proof of longer runtime
The comparison lists a 7,540 mAh battery and 100 W charging for the Redmi Turbo 5, above the OnePlus 13s’s 5,850 mAh and 80 W SUPERVOOC. Those are capacity and rated-wattage figures, not measured battery endurance or a guarantee that one phone charges faster in every circumstance.
OnePlus publishes manufacturer testing for the 13s: its Test Laboratory says it evaluated 10 commonly used apps and scenarios on April 26, 2025, at 25 °C. Its disclosed scenarios include BGMI at best quality and 120 FPS, 1080p/30 fps video capture, and Zoom video calls. These are OnePlus lab claims under specified conditions, not independent results or a comparison against the Redmi Turbo 5. Read OnePlus’s product-page specifications and test notes.
Water resistance: verify the Redmi rating for your exact model
91mobiles lists IP65 splash resistance for the OnePlus 13s and a bundle of IP68/IP66/IP69K/IP69 ratings, with 2 m/30 min, for the Redmi Turbo 5. The Redmi details have not been confirmed against an official Xiaomi listing here. Do not treat that unusually broad bundle as verified protection for every regional variant; check the manufacturer’s official specifications and the test conditions for the exact SKU before exposing a phone to water.
Which phone should you choose?
- Choose the OnePlus 13s if a lighter, more compact phone, a telephoto camera, or the stronger source-reported benchmark figures matters most to you.
- Choose the Redmi Turbo 5 if you prefer a larger display, higher listed battery capacity and charging wattage, an ultrawide secondary camera, or the lower India price snapshot.
- Compare exact listings before checkout if your decision depends on a specific RAM/storage configuration, current price, water-resistance claim, or regional availability.
This is an India-market comparison based on the available rupee price listing. Do not assume the Redmi Turbo 5 specifications, price, or availability apply unchanged in another country.
