The OnePlus 13s is the performance-led compact choice on paper, while the India-market OPPO Reno16 5G (model CPH2865) offers more camera focal lengths and a larger stated battery. Their listed prices are not directly comparable without matching storage, seller and current checkout price: the available OnePlus figure is a third-party marketplace snapshot, while OPPO publishes two differently dated price snapshots.

OnePlus 13s vs OPPO Reno16: key specifications

This comparison is for the OnePlus 13s and the OPPO Reno16 5G sold in India as model CPH2865. OPPO says specifications and prices can differ for Reno16-series models in other countries, and CPH2865 is not the India Reno16c (CPH2859). The comparison below reflects manufacturer specifications; it does not establish independent head-to-head test results.

Which phone has the stronger performance platform?

OnePlus names the Snapdragon 8 Elite, while OPPO lists the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4. That places the 13s in the more performance-oriented position based on the named platforms. It is not a measured result for these two phones: the available specifications do not establish comparative benchmark scores, sustained performance, or performance under a particular workload.

OPPO’s launch release describes the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 as a 4nm platform and claims CPU performance up to 27% faster and GPU rendering up to 30% faster. Those are OPPO’s vendor claims, and the comparison baseline is not detailed in the cited passage; they should not be read as independent evidence that the Reno16 outperforms the OnePlus 13s.

How do their cameras differ?

The Reno16 has broader stated focal-length coverage: in addition to a 50MP main camera, it has a 50MP ultra-wide and a 50MP telephoto camera with 3.5× optical zoom. That gives it an ultra-wide option absent from the 13s specifications here, plus a longer stated optical-zoom reach than the OnePlus 13s’s 2× telephoto.

OnePlus lists a 50MP main camera and a 50MP telephoto camera with 2× optical zoom. For selfies, OPPO specifies a 50MP autofocus camera with a 100° field of view, while OnePlus specifies a 32MP autofocus front camera. Resolution and lens specifications alone do not determine image quality; no independent camera comparison is established here.

Which has the larger battery, and are charging speeds equal?

OPPO states a 6700mAh typical battery capacity and a 6490mAh rated capacity for the Reno16; OnePlus lists 5850mAh for the 13s. Both manufacturers specify 80W charging, and OPPO says a charger is included. The larger stated capacity does not by itself prove longer real-world battery life, which depends on usage and other conditions.

What are the India prices, and why do the figures differ?

OPPO’s official figures changed between its dated sources. Its 2 July 2026 launch release listed ₹61,999 for 8GB+256GB and ₹67,999 for 12GB+256GB, with sales beginning 9 July. OPPO’s later detail page gives ₹66,999 and ₹72,999 for those configurations, respectively, and says the prices are accurate as of 31 August 2026 and may change. The cited sources do not explain the difference between those price snapshots.

A 91mobiles comparison page crawled on 7 October 2026 displayed ₹54,999 for the OnePlus 13s on Amazon and ₹66,999 for the Reno16 5G. These are an indicative marketplace snapshot, not an official OnePlus price quote or a guaranteed current offer. The displayed Reno16 figure also does not replace OPPO’s configuration-specific official prices.

Which phone should you choose?

Choose the OnePlus 13s if performance and compact positioning come first

OnePlus markets the 13s as a compact phone and lists the Snapdragon 8 Elite. It is the more natural fit if you prioritize that platform and do not need the Reno16’s ultra-wide camera or longer stated optical zoom.

Choose the OPPO Reno16 if camera flexibility and stated battery capacity matter more

The Reno16’s documented camera system adds an ultra-wide lens and a 3.5× optical telephoto, and its stated typical battery capacity is larger. Check that the CPH2865 model and the features you need apply to the exact India listing.

Make the final call using the live, like-for-like price

Neither set of specifications establishes an overall winner. Decide which features matter to you, then compare current checkout prices for equivalent configurations rather than treating dated or unspecified marketplace listings as a guaranteed price difference.
