The OnePlus 13R is the stronger on-paper choice if you want its specified Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 platform and a dedicated 2× optical-zoom portrait camera. The Motorola Edge 70 Fusion stands out for its India-listed 144 Hz display, 32 MP selfie camera, protection claims and included 68 W charger. Neither is a universal winner: regional specifications, current local prices and your camera and performance priorities matter.

Performance: OnePlus specifies a higher-tier chipset
OnePlus names the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 in its 13R launch materials. That gives the 13R the clearer advantage on paper for buyers prioritizing its specified platform. Motorola’s India specification page does not name the Edge 70 Fusion chipset, and a third-party comparison page’s chipset details conflict with other evidence, so they are not a reliable basis for a direct processor comparison.

TechRadar identifies its tested Edge 70 Fusion as using Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 and reports Geekbench 6 multi-core averages in the 3,200–3,300s for that review unit. Those are the reviewer’s results for its tested configuration, not a guaranteed score for every regional model. If gaming, sustained performance or demanding apps are decisive, check independent tests of the exact version sold where you live rather than treating chipset names as a complete real-world verdict.
Displays: 144 Hz is not the whole picture
Motorola’s India listing has the higher refresh-rate ceiling: up to 144 Hz, compared with up to 120 Hz for the OnePlus 13R. OnePlus specifies a flat 6.78-inch, 1.5K LTPO 4.1 ProXDR panel; Motorola lists Super HD resolution of 2772 × 1272 and HDR10+.
A maximum refresh rate alone does not establish which screen looks brighter outdoors, renders colors more accurately or is more comfortable to use. If screen quality is a deciding factor, compare independent display measurements and hands-on assessments of the regional models, not just the hertz figure.

Choose the 13R for a dedicated 2× portrait camera
The OnePlus 13R has a 50 MP portrait camera with 2× optical zoom, alongside a 50 MP OIS main camera and an 8 MP ultra-wide. That gives it a distinct hardware option for tighter portraits and subjects that benefit from optical reach.

Choose the Edge 70 Fusion for its listed selfie and ultra-wide specs
Motorola lists a 32 MP front camera and a 13 MP ultra-wide with a 120° field of view, as well as a 50 MP Sony LYTIA 710 main camera with OIS. These specifications may appeal if selfies or wide-angle framing are frequent priorities.
Megapixel counts and lens specifications do not establish the final photo or video quality. Image processing, low-light performance, focus and video stabilization need direct sample comparisons; the cited specifications alone do not settle those questions.
Battery, charging and protection depend on the regional version
OnePlus advertises a 6,000 mAh typical battery for the 13R; its specification page gives the rated capacity as 5,860 mAh. OnePlus lists charging up to 80 W generally and 55 W in North America. Motorola’s India page lists a 68 W charger in the box, but the cited specification extract does not establish a battery capacity. TechRadar reports Edge 70 Fusion versions with 7,000 mAh and 5,200 mAh batteries, making a region-specific check essential before comparing endurance by capacity.
For the India-listed Edge 70 Fusion bundle, Motorola includes a TurboPower 68 W charger and a USB-C cable. OnePlus’s cited materials do not establish a comparable included-charger bundle for every market. Check the retail listing for your country and exact configuration before assuming what comes in the box.

On protection, OnePlus states IP65, while Motorola’s India specification lists IP68/IP69 underwater protection and MIL-STD 810H. These are manufacturer claims, not a promise that either phone is damage-proof; practical coverage and service options should be checked with the local warranty terms.

A 91mobiles India comparison page accessed on October 5, 2026 showed the OnePlus 13R at ₹37,900, marked out of stock, and the Motorola Edge 70 Fusion at ₹30,999. This is a dated third-party listing snapshot, not a confirmed current price difference between two available phones. The page does not establish a matched, in-stock seller quote for equivalent storage configurations.
For a useful comparison, check local retailers for both phones at the same time, match storage and memory configurations, and compare the final price including any required charger. Prices, stock and regional versions vary; do not treat the snapshot as a current offer. Source: 91mobiles comparison page.

Which one should you buy?
- Consider the OnePlus 13R if the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 specification and 2× optical-zoom portrait camera matter most to you, and its local price and availability are competitive.
- Consider the Motorola Edge 70 Fusion if its listed 144 Hz screen, 32 MP selfie camera, 120° ultra-wide, India-listed charger bundle or protection claims better match your priorities.
- Before choosing either, verify the exact regional SKU, battery capacity, storage configuration, in-stock price and local warranty or service coverage. The cited sources do not establish a complete, comparable software-support commitment for both phones, so they do not support a winner on update longevity.
